Hey there! Long story short: I was very big into cubing right when the first dayan GuHong came out, I got a lubix zhanchi that was extremely amazing (I have tried to set it up a few times since, but it’s very much dead). Back in the day I used CFC to lube the cube, and that was pretty much the best thing until lubix came up with their lubricant. I stopped for a while and picked it up, bought the gan 365 and the valk, magnetized them, then the magnetic versions came up and bought them too, along with some traxxas 50k. I quit again and now I’m back, but out of lube. There are 47281 different types of lube, and I dont know what to buy. Is there a “generic go to” lube I can buy for now? I dont wanna be buying 4 or 5 different lubes for the core, springs, pieces, big cubes, slower cubes, faster cubes... I see that weight 5 and traxxas 5k is pretty much the same and still works out well, and also dnm 137 speeds up the cube very nicely and lasts a bit more than maru. Could I buy just dnm137 or just traxxas 50k and have a high enough performance? I average high 11’s, used to know almost full zbll, I now remember just over 50, it sucks.

Sorry for the walltext and sorry if this is answered already! Thanks!

I would recommend getting Lubest XMT. It is very versatile, and cheap too. It gives your cubes a unique plush quick controllable feel.

I recently ordered some D-Fantix Gan Cube Lube for my cubes. I was wondering if I could use this on my GTS 2M. This was the best lube I could find as there were no results for Weight 5 on Amazon.

Thanks! A couple of people have complained this lube makes their cube feel gummy, so should I just apply a little less to my gts v2?

I would not use the gan magic lube from amazon but you can get some trackis 30k or 50k off amazon but I would recommend weight 5 from the cubicle but traxis 50k is similar to weight 5

I have tried the mystic lube, and along with solar, and Jack O lantern it is my favorite lube, but the nice thing is that it is not limited edition like solar and jack o lantern. It has a very smooth and unique feel. It makes you cube flow like water when combined with traxxas 10k dnm, and silk. Speaking of silk cubicle labs silk, the new version of silk is also very good, and it is basically the same as lubicle silk.

I have several puzzles that uses DMN-37 entirely, but often dries up quickly because I usually put them in a air-conditioned room so there is not enough moisture in the air for it to absorb. Any ideas of how to make it last longer?

I thought about putting them in a chamber with a bowl of water with them, is that possible?

What kind of Lube combo or just singular lube would you recommend to use with the Gan X

I recently lubed my aochuang gtsm 5x5 with traxxas 30k. When i lubed it, I put to much lube in it. It is now super gummy. Is their anything I can do to fix this?

There are two things you can do (1) Do a ton of solves to break in the lube and make it not as gummy (which could take a while), or (2) use a rag to wipe out some of the lube. With the rag you can disassemble the whole cube and wipe off each piece (or as many as you want) or if you do not want to disassemble it then you can loosen the cube a bit, stick the rag in between the pieces and wipe some lube out. I would disassemble it wipe off as much as you want and resemble it, but the other way will work of you do not want to do that.

for the x I would use angstrom gravatos dnm and mystic
The setup I use on my Gan356X is the angstrom lubes and dnm with weight 5 on the core (lubing the core of gan puzzles is confusing) buttery smooth and amazing. I add a drop of dnm about once every 1-2 weeks depending on how much i've been cubing. Angstrom lubes last long and I have only had to re apply once.

It would help speed up the cube, but I would still first try to clean out some of the Traxxes first, since it seems like there is to much in the cube at the moment. Or if you do not want to mix the lubes then you can completely clean out the cube, lube the core with Traxxes, and then use DNM on the pieces.
