You still don't know what we are saying. Anyone can do f2l intuitively. But you can also use algorithms for some of the hard cases that you don't know.

It takes me 1 second to check the wiki and look at an algorithm and I will have it mastered for f2l. We don't mean memorizing it like OLL/PLL which takes longer, just understanding it.

AND I'm sure intuitive F2L has case recognition, Alg Recognition, and Alg Execution. You just don't realize it. What you learned intuitively gets turned into a fast algorithm..

HOW are people able to solve f2l pairs blindfolded???

Those two imo, all other are pretty good.

This one might be worth learning too.

They aren't so ugly,
I developed a pretty easy and fast way.

Personally, I suggest focusing on lookahead,
and trying to figure out cases that you don't know alone.

If you think it's really ugly, you might want to check out algs, but usually they're annoying to execute.

The 3 cases in the quote are easy.
First on the left:
R U R' U2 and continue from there.
Second on the right:
R U R' U and continue from there.
Last one:
R U R' U2 R U2 R' and I believe it's easy from here.

I have no idea what the algs are for any case, as won't learn them until I finish learning/developing all 57 OLLs

Edit:
That's just my opinion, if you think algs will be better for you, do it.

Everybody should choose what they prefer, you don't learn to solve like a robot.

Understanding the algs would be better, so you would be able to already learn more in the future.

Wow! So many replies and it hasn't even been a day yet. Thx guys! Btw I've been cubing for a few months now, to answer the first question, and I just wanted to solve faster and I heard Fridrich is the way to go.. So what you guys are saying is to keep practicing intuitive and I should be able to get it in under 30 seconds??

One more thing.. How do I make the cross faster? Its taking me about 8 seconds and that also adds up to the great amount of time to do f2l since the first step is the cross.

Yea, it's a pretty active forum.

Don't assume Fridrich is the fastest method just because people got WRs with it, there's no way to determine which method is fastest.

Cross faster - I suggest watching these:

After that it's practice practice practice and learning a few more tricks

Oh and by the way, I get 45 seconds with beginners method. With Fridrich, I get around 75 seconds.. So yea I have a lot of practicing ^.^

Oh and I just realized that f2l is the reason my time is 75 seconds... Pll takes me anywhere from 3-5 and beginners oll takes me anywhere from 6-10 seconds.. That pretty much leaves me with about 40-50 seconds doing f2l..

i usually do f2l's two at a time. so ill see one then get an approximation of where another set will be at the end of the movements required for the first one. this allows me to finish the cross and f2l at around 6-7 seconds (im putting up a tutorial on how i do it, and yes intuitive f2l is neccesary)

I don't do either of the x3 options. I find that they both break look ahead for me.

Not really, you just need to learn to not look at the pieces and URU'R' x3 is faster, time it, it is always a few points of a second faster and there is no regrip with allows you to move faster into your next pair.

I'd suggest learning algs.

Intuitive f2l is stupid.

No, I am serious. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the whole distinction between intuitive and 'regular' f2l is just the dumbest thing going on on this forum, for many reasons. First of all, it suggests that 'regular' algorithmic F2L is not intuitive, which is false.

Yeah right,so true.

Intuitive F2L is easier to use and faster than Algorithmic F2L.

I already explained that the distinction between algorithmic and intuitive F2L is stupid... So I really don't see any point in arguing about which is faster/easier to use/easier to learn/which one the WR holder uses.

because you do whatever you see first

So do I, unless I have a very good reason not to.

instead of Case Recognition, then Alg Recollection, then Alg Execution which for F2L is mush slower

Case Recognition THEN Alg recollection? Wait, what? It's all about reflexes, dude!

I could also say that with "intuitive" F2L, you seperate a pair in 2 steps: Pair up and insert, which slows you down mentally. We end up doing the same move sequences for most cases, right?

It is very different to Algorithmic F2L

Is it, really?

F2L

i've been learning F2L lately and i'm plain confused on one thing, let's say i've done 3 corners, i'll go to do the 4th one but then when i've done it i find out that another corner has been moved, so i have only 2 corners done, i can do F2L sometimes but alot of the time this happens, any idea why?

Try going the last pair with only R and U moves.

it's still happening, i'll have 2 corners done on the same side and no corners done on the other side, even if i use R and U it still moves them, i know why it moves them but i don't know how to stop it.
