You don't actually need all the letters though. Something I did when I created my letter scheme was to make Q my edges buffer so I don't need to use letter pairs involving Q![]()
So how many letter pairs do you use in 3BLD?

I use around 550, I think. I mostly come up with them on the fly, so I am not too good yet. I need more practice, but you really don't need to memorize or make a list of all your pairs.
Yes, I thought that too. But they are often SUPER easy, such as AC (air conditioning), PN (porn), or OL (Oatmeal). They are easy enough to come up with in a second or two, even for beginners. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but now it isn't so bad!
Also, try downloading Anki, which you can then use to quiz yourself with your letter pairs quite easily!
Just a suggestion if the terminology of solving stickers etc is too much to take in, perhaps try learning 3OP from here. It is a very old/inefficient method but it will present at least some advantages for you (PhD):
1. It gives you a summary of what blind solving is about
2. You memorize orientation and permutation separately, and both concepts are explained very clearly.
3. Memorization is doubled, but the nature of 3OP allows you to test out different memory methods for each piece type and for orientation/permutation separately.
4. Sub-2 times are perfectly feasible and sub-1 times are possible (as a previous user of this method this is true.)
5. You will get an idea of how cycles work and how to memorize them.
..And how is that supposed to help me? 4340000 results on anki, and how should I know which software he means?

You memorize it as normal, recognize the m-slice being off during execution. When you are shooting a piece to the middle layer in M2, and your M slice is not correct, do you memorize a different letter pair (for example, mine would be B instead of Q), or do you simply realize it when you are solving and you know that your second target in your letter pair should be "shot" to the opposite spot?

I want to try to move for something faster for corners (I am using OP for corners and M2 for edges).
I have heard about boomerang method (http://renslay.byethost11.com/boomerang.html).
Is it worth learning or better try to switch to commutators right a way?
My times are usually around 2:05-2:15 with some sub2 sometimes. I can do most commutators cases without blindfold and some thinking (usually over 30 seconds per case, but I started learning it recently)

3BLD: When I reach the buffer, and have to start a new cycle, I saw in NoahCubes tutorial he says I should touch the pieces that I've already solved. But what I don't understand about this is, when you start your new cycle how do you start your new letter pairs?
So imagine you've solved your first few pieces, ABCD, and you've reached your buffer piece. I figure out that the pieces that are left are VWXYZ (and for the sake of this example, the last cycle is VWXYZ, so V needs to go to W etc.)
1. Choose any piece, solve it as normal. (V)
2. Solve the rest of the cycle (WXYZ)
3. Solve the FIRST piece at the end as well. (V[SUB]2[/SUB])
So you are solving that second cycle as (VWXYZV). If there are no other cycles/pieces that need to be solved, you've finished that piece set.
