I have changed to Speffz scheme now and I am using audio for corners. It works really good. I am searching for a memomethod for edges. I have tried sentences and I find it hard to get into my head. Any alternatives?

Why not audio for edges as well? Seems to work for Noah!

Or if its too similar to corner memo and you need something different, I got a lot of useful stuff from Chris Hardwick's page.

That's why I suggested the one syllable words list :)

EDIT: I didn't mean for you - just realised that I could have sounded unintentionally patronising!

I just thought you were implying that I used full audio. You did not seem patronizing.

DrKorin told me, that he thinks, that practicing fast memos and safety memos is both important and that you should do both. I never thought about that. What do you guys think how to do that exactly? Starting the session with some safety solves (and memos) and then do some pushing solves later, or alternately or one day this and one day that or what?

Find it out by yourself. Some people do risky solves all day, some begin with save solves and Memo/Turn faster every other solve. :)

Do whatever you feel like, but always do something and not just be doing solves for the sake of doing solves. One way is to start with slow memos and move to fast ones. Another is to alternate between fast memo and fast execution until you can do them both on the same solve. As long as you're practicing deliberately you'll improve.

Hey guys,

I am trying to get faster with memorization and so i tried this:

Normally i memorize edges then corners -> solve edges then corners
Now i try to memorize edges then corners -> solve corners then edges
I try memorizing edges with one big image and corners by just saying the ~4 images and then just solve them quickly. I think that this will work quite well. Because i dont really have to memorize corners and solve them so quick, that its no problem if i forget them quick, too.

My question:

Normally i used the normal parity algorithm for M2 after finishing edges, or just at the end of the solve.
Now i cant do that. If i have parity, i solve the last corner with oldPochmann (the rest with TuRBo) and so i need a parity algorithm for that. Any nice algorithm for that? I would prefer an algorithm that i can use AFTER finishing corners and BEFORE solving edges.

Thanks, Dennis

what parity algorithm did you use before?
I always do it like that:
Edge memo, corner memo, corner execution, edge execution
if parity: solve one corner with y-perm. solve parity with U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U, solve edges :)

yeah, that's the downside. but you just have to "think" one M2 further, so if your first (or any odd number) target is BD or FU, it's actually FU or BD.

what parity algorithm did you use before?

I use the same.
But isnt there any other way for solving that?
Because then i have to think this way with parity and the opposite way without parity. That really sucks.

yeah, i dont like that either. a friend of mine solves 6 corners, all edges and then the last corner with a yperm BUT solves the UB and UL edge switched, so there will be a yperm left.
only thing is, you have to remember the last corner until the end

Well i guess that solving UF/FU and DB/BD pieces the other way when you have parity might be the best thing to do then. I hope i will get used to it. Well in fact, i think i have to because solving corners fist gives you a faster memorization i think now.
