I did watch that and it didn't make any sence to me

Then watch it again and again until you understand it. And/or look for other guides and read them and read them again etc.

Nobody here will write a guide for you because they are all already written.

We can't help you if you come saying "I understand nothing".

You have to ask specific questions if you want specific answers. Otherwise, if you ask general questions you'll ger general answers, like the link I posted before.

Hi, I´m trying to learn old pochmann, but I have one problem with solving the edges. Sometimes when I´m finished with the edges I have two edges that is wrong oriented. How do I fix that, and how do I know that it will happend when memorizing?

There are two ways you can deal with this-

1) Setup the last 2 unsolved edges at UF and UB positions and do M' U M' U M' U M' U2 M' U M' U M' U M' and the undo the setup moves

2) You can also shoot to a sticker on the edge, then shoot to other sticker of the 'same' edge.

Hope I made it clear,ask if I didn't

Okey, thanks!
But how do I see that I will get two wrong oriented edges while memorizing?

You can get wrong edges when an edge is in the right place, but its flipped(incorrectly oriented),You can get any number of wrong edges,I would say that you use the second way I mentioned as I think it is easier for beginners.

Bytheway after you get some successes with Old Pochmann, you can also try
it is easy to understand and can be real fast.

Just because beginners are told that doesn't mean it's true ;).

Well I was taking it into context. I was worried that he might misinterpret your comment and think he had done something wrong if he only had to *fix* one flipped edge during a solve.

Also my comment was true. I said "as far as he's concerned". :p

for M2+ pochmann what is the best way to deal with parity if I do corners then edges? and if I do edges then corners?
If you do corners first, 2 options:

1) Finish your corners, then do an R-perm swapping URB-UFR and UB-UL. Do all your edges and you'll be an M2 off, so do U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U, then the same R-Perm you did after corners.

2) Finish corners, then do U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U. You'll be an M2 off during edges, so all your M-slice targets will be swapped (you'll have to do M U2 M U2 instead of U2 M' U2 M' and vice versa). This is less moves, but you have to remember that your M-slice is opposite to normal.

If you do edges first, just do U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U after edges, nothing else to worry about.

There is also a third option, that I came up with, which is no more moves than your second option, and you don't have to remember that the M-slice is off. I don't use it, though, because I can't find a way to make it work with my memo system. anyway...

1. Solve the corners, except for the last target.
2. Solve the edges.
3. U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U
4. Solve the last corner target.

thank you. so for option 2 (of corners then edges) the m slice will be off so for every odd number swap I need to switch to the opposite target if it is in the m slice? for example if the first swap is to UF I do the algorithm to swap to DB? same with third, fifth, etc.

EDIT: My original question was asked because I saw in a video option 1. I thought that the U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U and second R perm could be simplified with less moves.
Also, if I want to do it that way then do I need to start my memorization from what is in the UB? I am pretty sure that I dont because I just looked at what the algorithm does.

I really don't recommend doing M2 with the M slice flipped when you have parity. I strongly urge you to do what Julian said:

1. Solve the corners, except for the last target.
2. Solve the edges.
3. U' F2 U M2 U' F2 U
4. Solve the last corner target.

I might do that. I still havent decided because I want to do my solve like this: edge memo, corner memo, corner execution, edge execution. The only thing that is stopping me from doing it that way is that it is easier to deal with parity if I go edge then corner execution.

If you don't use R-Perm, then for every M-slice target that you memo'ed, you'll need to execute the opposite target, since the M-slice is changed after doing the parity alg.

As for memo, you can either check whether you have parity first and, if you have parity, memorise the M-slice targets opposite how you normally would, or you can memo them as normal and, during execution, keep in mind that you have parity and perform the opposite M-slice algorithms to what you memo'ed.

And no, you don't need to start your edge memo from UB, the only thing you need to change is M-slice edges.

EDIT: And of course, you can avoid the whole situation with opposite M-slice edges by doing an R-Perm after edges, then doing the parity alg and undoing the R-Perm at the end :p
