Ah ok, I have been using my program and it works well, but I was just wondering if some people could memorize it as they are creating it.

I have been slowly working on a letter pair list, and I memorize it as I write it. I don't really think my approach is any better.

They could but I'm a nitpicky person when it comes to certain things. I would have felt weird learning my list knowing it's incomplete :).

ugh no, I agree, it is a pain... but, well I cant think of them fast enough xD. Thats why I have started to fill in random things. For instance, I noticed that QX and QS were both quicksand, so I changed QS to stopsign. Clever aye? I was wondering if someone would create a complete bs LPL, cause the only reason you need them to correlate is for learning purposes. I _know_ that QS is stopsign, I dont care that it has the S T P S N type sounds. I feel like I should fill in all duplicates and all missing ones with random crap. So, any time I post my LPL, it will have random ones like XK: clock

Now thinking, XK does seem like it needs to be **** Edit: <--- Typo meant to say clock.. Lol

OH... I Wish that I played pokamon, it would help me so much with the LPL... I only use the Basics like PK: Pikachu MW: Mew JP: JigglyPuff.. Just things that were in SSB Melee and Brawl (Well, im pretty sure mew was in melee)

I personally only know the first 151 (but I had seen random episodes of the newer ones, so I thought I'd take a look through the new pokemon list to help finish my LPL off) and I happened to recognize quagsire, so win.

This is getting off topic so I'ma stop now :p.

Images that are unrelated to their pair are called peg words. If you read my list in the random blindfolded discussion thread, I use them a lot.

@Ryan OHh ok lol. I think I might just watch a bunch of episodes (yes 151 is a bunch)

And to the comment about peg words: ahh thanks. I have always thought it would be fun to make a new list out of 100% easy to place peg words. I would probably just start swapping them out until I have a random list. I might keep the easy ones (Although, I dont know which ones are easy yet, as I am guessing that the ones that are hard for linked lists, like for me rubiks cubes (RC), are different for journey)

Hey guys,

I currently use letters for edges and visual for corners.
I do corners first and then edges,so what happens is towards the end of my execution I almost start forgetting the ending letters i memorized, mostly the last 2 or 3 of them.

Suppose my letter memo is GHDPRJEVUMA,so there is always a 90-95% chance of me forgetting UMA

So can this problem be solved by memorizing and executing the corners faster? so that I quickly move on to edge execution, will that help me to recall all the letters i memorized for edges?

Well, it depends: What method do you use for the letters?

I initially started with making a word out of 2 letters, but I haven't created a letter pair list because i find it a bit dumb and it takes a long time(yeah,i'm impatient).
So I made words on the fly,but that was taking way too long and i badly wanted to get faster with memo, specially edges.

Then I just simply started memorising letters in groups of 4/3 whatever was appropriate acc. to the order and what letters were there.
It is way too fast than what I mentioned above, but towards the end of my execution,i tend to forget the last 3-4 letters of my memo

Hmm.. well I see your problem, but fixing it creates a different problem :P I have always found that using letters results in forgetting a grouping. Short term memory works where you can store about 7 groups, and these groups can be as large as you can handle really. I am not sure if this comment will help, but try grouping them (if you havent already) and possibly sounding it out at the end of memo, so that when you solve you have a hint to the last groups. (If you already do this, or this isn't a great answer, ill hand this over to someone else :P)

Well if I can give advice it would be:

What I do is make a word out of every letter, and those words make a sentence... the sentence doesnt really have to make sense, but I find it easier than memoing letters or random words....

GHDPRJEVUMA
Gay Homo's D*** Pops Real Joos (lol), Eventually varying (is that even a word?) Under My Ass

And yes it usually sounds as stupid as that... So after making it up I repeat it a couple of shots, then speed-memo my corners, and solve corners first so I can move to edges, which are already encrusted in my mind.

...Just my 2-cents..

NOW, for my question,

I use pure visual memo for corners and I'm switching from good'ol 3OP to freestyle, but visual memoing stickers is quite harsher for my head than simple oriented cycles, so I need a new corner memo method... I was thinking letters, but is that a good idea? anything better? I can use tapping... but it takes way too much time... And I tend to forget too.

Tapping is very similar to visual so you probably won't find much of a difference there.
If you want to use letters, it can be very easy to pair up 2 letters and form a one-syllable word or sound. For the corners, you will usually end up with a string of around 4 words/sounds, they don't need to be coherent.

Sure, the faster you execute corners, the less time you have to remember your edge memo. But you can also try repeating you edge memo once (saying it in your head) as you start solving corners. Since you do corners visual, it shouldn't couse a problem.
