So I’m having a lot of trouble with memo, I can’t seem to memo corners and edges together. I can memo just corners, but not just edges. I need some help on what memo I should use or how to do it well

*I'm not fast, but I do have a general knowledge of blind solving, so take this with a grain of salt, but that does make me a beginner, so I do know what it feels like to not have a clue about what I'm doing*

Typically, for 3BLD, you'll want to memo corners first using a visual system with rooms, and then memo edges next using an audio system. Audio systems are a little bit faster but the recall is a little worse, so you'll solve edges right after you memo them, and then recall the visual corners, which are a little bit easier because rooms are a really good longer term system.

As for actually just remembering things, it just takes time. I tend to memo edges in sets of 4 and package them that way. I'll say them out loud, and then move on. Once I've found the next four edges, I'll recite that package and then see if I still remember the first 4. I'll continue reciting the my edge audio string until I have all my edges encoded.

It can also really help to write them down so you can work on getting things out and not worrying too much on actually storing the info, just to get a feel of how solves feel. You can try some solves and eventually only write down the first 8 edges, and then the first 4, and then none.

Anyone have a good word for UJ?

It's supposed to be memorable. Like Feliks Zemdegs would work for FZ because he's easy to remember.

Well, he is a delegate, so I would imagine that for some people who are familiar with him (such as arquillian, probably, since he is also from India), he is quite memorable.

By the way, I use (mount) fUJi (Japan) for my image for UJ; it definitely makes a quite good image for memorizing - very visual.

Quick question, I just got a 2:26 BLD time but I was a R2 off so is the solve a success +2 or fail?
