with Ul you have both M' U M and r U2 r' inserts, with Uf you would have r U' r' but also l' U l
I'm starting to think it doesn't actually make a difference. It seems like the comms would all be the same, just changing which ones you AUF beforehand.
[U [r U' r', E']] + [l' U2 l, E] would become [r U2 r', E'] + [U' [l' U l, E]]

I currently use Orientate/Permutate for corners, using sunes/antisunes, and T perms, N perms, E perms, for permutating.
I use sort of a free buffer technique. I've made this up by myself. Not sure if there is a similar method that already exists.
I have been using this method for over 2 years I think, and I average about 1:40-50.
However, I'm trying to get down my times and I find it impossible.

Which more advanced corner method do you recommend? I've tried BH, TuRBo, 3-style, but even I understand commutators perfectly (I use them in FMC a lot), it is hard for me to use them on a BLD solve.

Thanks

my BLD TPS is bad

How do guys fingertrick D2?
ring pinky or pinky ring?
I currently do ring ring because pinky is very awkward for me

I use ring-pinky.
I used to do ring-ring, but it's much slower. Basically what I did to switch was to practice doing ring-pinky a lot until it felt comfortable. I forced myself to do ring-pinky for D2s when scrambling, and when I wasn't solving I would just do a lot of D2s and A perms.

Either is good, depends which one is more comfortable.

I also do ring ring because I can't do either fingertrick to save my life.

Ring middle is another option. It's good for [R U2 R', D2] if you can lefty U2 double flick.
I tend not to since I can't lefty U2.

what are unconventional 3bld memo methods that don't suffer significant image inefficiency problems?

Do mbld-ers doing like 15+ cube attempts just buy a bunch of guanlongs?

Asking because I have 7 cubes rn, and I want to do bigger attempts in the future. (I just got a 5/6)

On top level it's important to have very good hardware in mbld.
I recently ordered some Thunderclaps specifically for MBLD, and now I can do attempts of 15-17 cubes.

I prefer shengshou legends over guanlongs, but I hear qiyi sails are pretty good for a budget cube.
I use a bunch of old cyclone boys, some guanlongs, legends, a few thunderclaps, the valk, a shuangren, and 2 weilongs.

I think it depends whether or not you want your MBLD cubes to feel consistent. I find it distracting if the cubes in an attempt have different feels, so I use a bunch of Thunderclaps all set up the same. On the other hand, some others have said they quite like a mixture of cubes as it prompts their memo.

I ordered 20 thunderclaps for the purpose of MBLD. Inexpensive, yet high quality cubes. Much fun was had the day that shipment arrived.

Another thing to consider is that you plan to ever do MBLD at a competition, the cubes can't have any overlay logo stickers. Unless you are OK with removing the logos from your "regular" cubes, if you're serious about MBLD, it's probably better in the long run to invest in a set of MBLD cubes.

I'm pretty sure this is allowed, but I just want to double-check.

Can I put on my blindfold only for the execution phase of an MBLD attempt? Wearing a blindfold for 40ish minutes without using it is kind of pointless to me.
