I once counted from some of my sighted solves where I wrote down the memo. It was a small sample set but 3BLD averaged about 20 targets, 4BLD about 45, and 5BLD about 80. So 2.5 and 4 cubes respectively. It would be interesting to see a mathematically derived answer based on probabilities.

I'm looking for a 4x4 bld parity alg.
It swaps the Dfr edge and the Ubr edge only (the r2 method's parity case).
The algorithm contains only U2, F2 and 2R moves, and nothing else, no 2L moves, no setups.

I use: 2R' U2 2R U2 2R' U2 x 2R U2 2R U2 2R U2 2R2 U2 x' 2R' U2. Robert Yau posted it year ago. Pure swap without setup.

:)okay i have some problems memorizing the cube(i havent done a succes solve yet). Im currently using audio for corners and sentences for edges. Is this a good way to memorize the cube?? is there a better way if yes what?
;)Thx...

Do whatever works for you. If you're doing audio for corners, you must memorize corners last and then solve them first. Because audio is short term memory. You could also try audio edges. Then you would memo edges last and solve them first. You should check out Zane's video

I've been trying for a while and I just can't figure out old pochmann. Can someone please talk me through it?

If you have specific questions or problems, please ask. Otherwise "talk you through it" sounds like you want someone to write another tutorial, which is pointless when the ones you've watched haven't worked.

Anyway, my advice would be to practise sighted. Don't even bother trying to memorise the cube or execute without looking, until you can solve it with a blindfold method while looking at it and watching what is going on. That way you will learn and understand more quickly how the method works.

Once you are fully comfortable with the method, next step is to trace and write down the letter sequence that you would expect to memo, then solve the cube out of sight (like under the table) while reading off this sequence. That way you learn your letter scheme and test yourself solving blind, but without the stress of memo and recall.

Finally, once comfortable with all the above, work on memo.

This incremental approach makes learning BLD much easier than jumping into everything at once.
