Kidding aside, that's how I found my 40k diff oil (they actually had all varieties of diff oil, past 80k even, and tons of shock oil varieties as well). Makes me wonder why many local cubers bother ordering lube online, or just using silicone spray in a can.

Heck, there's ton of shops in the "rcpak" link in that link I gave you.

Is vaseline good for my cube?

I put vaseline in my Rubik's storebought cube on August 16 of this year. Is it good for my cube? It made my cube turn better and smoother, but is vaseline a good lube for my cube? If not, how do I clean it out?

Well technically Vaseline will eat away at the plastic of your cube (at a very slow rate). The effect that this has would be to smoothen and loosen your cube, and considering it's a Rubik's brand this is probably a good thing.

It's only been twenty days, so it won't have done too much. I'd leave it in for another two weeks and then clean it out using paper towels on the pieces.

Although it's still your decision as to whether you're okay with the vaseline reducing the life-span of the cube (in which case you should get a better cube anyway).

Vaseline will take a long time to degrade the cube.

By the time it is seriously effected you might have a better cube worth keeping in good condition.

This. Vaseline is good to break in cubes, but then be sure to wash it out.

Does a 55mm Zhanchi work well without any lube?
Will a zhanchi lubed with maru lube work as well as one lubed with lubix?

I think I'll expand on rj's point a little. Most cubes want lube, at least for the core. If you don't lube that, your puzzle might not turn as well. However, if you're careful with your cubes(and don't get gunk inside them), you should be able to use the factory lube for quite a while.

Maru lube wears out quickly, so putting it in would improve the performance of your cube for a few hours/days, but then it would revert back its previous condition. If you're looking for cheaper lube, assorted lubes at The Cubicle and differential oil from RC shops should work well.

Thanks
The review of the Dayan Zhanchi 55mm (assembled) on lightake.com, says that it comes pre-lubed. Is this lube good? Which lube do you suggest(except lubix)?
