Don't use "Vaseline" or petroleum jelly. Try to use Jig-A-Loo or Silicon Spray it speeds up your cube. Also check whether you have friction helpers while buying a cube. You can see some raised lines on corner pieces these are friction helpers....

How to lube two puzzle?

I've ordered two puzzle and alot of other from Icubemart and i was just wondering how to lube a wittwo 2x2 with lubix, and shengshou 5x5 and 7x7 are they lubix able?

I'm pretty sure this would belong in the lubrication thread. Anyway,

You would lube the wittwo like you would a 3x3, crazybadcuber has a video on that:

Convinsa also has a video on lubing big cubes, i'll link you to that:

Depends on if you want the cube gummy or not. If you dissassemble and lube the core, make sure not to put too much of it if you don't want it gummy, but if you want it gummy, then put more in there. But then again, I'm not the greatest at lubing puzzles.

Always disassemble to and including the core. One thing is you know how to put it back together should it pop, and two it lubes the core, so.. yep.

ALL cubes that come in here in this house get their guts ripped open and their cores lubed. I find that NONE of all the cubes I have (well over 30 different kinds now I think) had their cores lubed and most of them tingtinged like no tomorrow.

Definitely lube the core. If you don't, the springs tend to get caught.

Also, it's convinsa's own view on her cubes. If you don't like a gummy cube, don't put as much lube in.

About how long should 30k last? Im using my cube around an hour to 2 hours a day, and it lasts me around 5-7 days

I use 50k and it last a long time. Yours should last at least 3-4 months in the core. Just add more to the pieces whenever you think it needs some, also use multiple cube everyday, of you are not already, it lengthens your lubricant life.

Oh. Alright. Maybe I am thinking it is worn out too soon, but I change it when it seems really dirty, or if it doesn't feel as smooth as it used to. And I do lube the pieces often
