i have just learned how to solve 4x4 BLD... U2 centres, r2 edges... the algorithm given to shoot DB is r2 F R U R' d R U' R' d' F' which is th equivelent of the 3X3 algorithm M2 F R U R' E R U' R' E'... i don't use that algo in 3x3 but U2 F2 U M' U' F2 U M U M2... what would be the equivalent of that? thanks :) and sorry for my bad english

You don't ever target FD. Are you referring to how you have to shoot to the "opposite" position every other swap? If so, you always shoot to BU or UB regardless of whether it is an even or odd swap.

That is what I was referring to. does that mean that the even/odd swap rule only applies to FU, UF, BD and DB?

There isn't any, because the wings of the 4x4x4 don't have an orientation. You have to learn the r2 F R U R' d R U' R' d' F' -alg.

When doing TuRBo edges second and OP corners first, is there an easier way to deal with parity? I do not want to memorize A and B corners switched then do the T perm.

Don't say switch to edges first, I cant because it feels too wrong.

Is Turbo edges considerably faster than M2? I'm considering learning it...
So is it worth it??

Well, and yes and no. TuRBo is right next to commutators, BH and 3style overall, much "better" than M2, beacuse you can easily switch to 3style.
It is easier to track (no M slice worries) and has a bit lower move count than M2.

Take a look at SBRIDLY, he uses TuRBo edges and has times sub50 without any problem, and sub50 is almost impossible with good, old M2.
Try TuRBo and see how's it going, it might pay off.

Conclusion - should be faster.

If you get parity, solves the corners first. Then (if you use UBL buffer), Do a Ja perm to to switch UL with UB, and UBL with UBR. To solve your last edge target, set it up into a Rperm, and undo set up moves.

And what's the mbld sorting algorithm?
How do they rank you on list? Percent of sucesuful cubes / all cubes * time...??

9f16) For the Rubik's Cube: Multiple Blindfolded event the order in the results is based on number of puzzles solved minus the number of puzzles not solved (higher is better). If the result is lower than 0, the solve is disqualified.
If competitors have the same result, then the order is based on total time (lower is better).

So, there's the score (solved - unsolved), that's the first ranking. So a score of 13 is better than a score of 12. If two people have a score of 13 (that could be 13/13 and 20/27), the fastest one is better.
