With M2, how do you deal with cycles like UF going to BD and BD going to UF ? or DF=>UB=>DF ?
It doesn't happen very often, but anytime I get that I just DNF because I don't know how to handle it, it's getting annoying :p

For official BLD, can you request that the judge pre-orient the cube to your solving orientation?

yes you can!

What makes you say that? I actually don't know of any rules that specifically address that question one way or the other. Since there are no rules, I've always assumed it wasn't allowed, but I guess it's an interesting question. I would think this could get out of hand if allowed in multi - you could see a competitor wanting the judge to preorient and prearrange all the cubes before starting, which would really be rather ridiculous (but would probably speed me up by several seconds).

I've long been of the opinion that the BLD scrambles should either be assigned a specific rotation at the end of the scramble or always placed on the table in the WG position.

I would definitely shave a bit of time off my solves if the cube was oriented with white on top every time I took the cover off. Some scramblers do this and others don't, which can give some solvers a slight edge.

I have recently been learning BLD using OP/M2. I have got one successful solve. But I notice that I feel uncertain during memorization. Not remembering, but what to do in certain cases.

Just now I tried to do just edges and write down memo and do the solve with eyes open to see what I did.

Scramble: L2 B R' D' R B' U' F' B' U D2 R L2 F2 D' F' L2 D2 U F' L' F' L2 B2 U' (White on top Green in front)

(Solving orientation: Yellow on top Green in front, Buffer DF)

DF -> BL -> DL -> FR -> UB -> BR (Replacing buffer piece) -> DR -> FU -> RB

This is where I have trouble. I ended up where I put the buffer piece, but it's not the same "letter". So I'm suspecting something is wrong with my thinking here. Following Eric's tutorial I should end up on the same "letter" when ending the cycle.

Would appreciate someone taking there time to tell me what I do wrong. And I hope my explanation is clear.

the spanish WCA delegate asked me how I wanted the cube to be oriented and I was like oh can I ask you for any orientation?
so that¡s why I say it :D

I am going to start solving the 3x3 BF.

How to start?
Is there a good method to start with?
Is it good to start training memorazing the whole cube at once or how can I do?
What had you recommended?

learn 3OP-M2 and as soon as you get it try to learn BH
reese this is just what I would do! :P

i got a question im sure every one can help me with.
ive learned to blind solve and getting faster at it using OP and partial m2 for the whole solve. avarage lest than 10mins.
im now learning m2 to get faster at my solving, my question is how do i keep track of the middle pieces, on M slice, i can get the left and right edges, but get lost when it comes to doing the M edges, or breaking into new cycles. please help thanks

Do you memorize in letter pairs? i.e. One letter per target, 2 letters per word? If you do, keeping track of the M-slice is simple, you know that it's off for the second letter of every pair.

As for breaking into new cycles, it works exactly the same way as in OP.

well I use freestyle but I used to do 3OP/M2 and I liked it a lot
I used to use A perms and others like R2 D' R2 D R2 U2x2 ,wich is a collum comutator, also E and Hperm+U2, R' F R F'x3 and U2 R U' R' U' R U' R'x2
but actually you don't need anything else than Aperms

i have a letter per each sticker, usually goes into a word, using the PAO, system, along with some visual memory. sometimes, stringing words along till i have to break into a new cycle. and the way i do my corners, i dont ever have parity. but i am also trying to learn turbo and im so lost
