How to go about learning comms for 4BLD and 5BLD? Like what buffers to use and how many algs are there for the wings and centers. I have gotten success with U2 and r2 methods for big blind but want to get serious about big BLD. I use 3-style for 3BLD corners and a mix of orozco and 3-style for edges. Thanks.

https://v2.blddb.net/ is a very useful resource. Make sure to check the settings page to change it to your letter scheme

Also check out blindsolvers discord if you're not already on there: https://discord.gg/pfq57nGZy

As for your questions, there are 440 comms each for xcenters and +centers, and 506 for wings. You'll also want to learn midge comms (440) for 5bld because the ergonomics are very different from 3bld edges.

Ubl and Ub are preferred for center buffers. UF and UFr most popular for midges and wings, but they may or may not be the best.

I suggest starting with center comms because they're the easiest piece types for comms. No need to worry about orientation, and there are easy setup moves that only affect one piece at a time. D centers are a little tricky.

Hello, is there a way to improve audio memo, I have been doing edge only solves with full 3-style and mainly the DNFs are coming due to wrong recall, like for UF-BL-RD and UF-BL-DB, which would be RO and RW, I tend to mix up these 2. It happens mostly when I am one passing. Kinda dumb question, but is there a list of audio pairs

Hello! How do i get my memo faster? i use audio memo and image/story for corners, but yet it can take up to 1:30 for me. also, my exec is already like 30-40 seconds using m2/op. should i learn 3style corners or mix them together? also how does 3style corners work?

Honestly just practice, for corners use more proper nouns for the words as it helped me retain my memo for long and try one passing the audio edges. If you can turn sufficiently fast and have all the setup moves in your muscle memory, then I think M2/OP is a decent method for 3BLD and you don't even need to learn commutators. If you want to learn 3-style then you can watch J-perms vid, I watched Noah's vids to understand how comms work but its very old now, you can watch Timothy Goh's vid also. I would say firstly understand how commutator works, change your buffer from UBL to UFR and try doing some pure comms with your new buffer, that way you will understand better. For the algs you can go v2.blddb.net , its BLD goldmine

You can focus on your memo by getting more clearer and fixed letter pairs. I use the PAO system and have all my words written down in an excel sheet. It gives good structure and momentum to train and get more proficient with it.

You can approach 3-style corners by starting out with Orozco. 3-style corners work through commutators, they are speed-optimal, regripless and rotationless which makes them very fast while executing!

There is no list for audio pairs.

I have been doing blindsolving since 2010 and never found audio memo to be a good thing. I always produce DNFs with it in a noisy environment or when I am distracted.

I have found visual memo and strong letter pairs to work super well for me.
For longer sessions of practice of 3blind, you can just use visual memo instead of audio. With audio memo your brain starts to saturate and your DNF rate starts to increase as you continue into the blindsolving practice session.

You can attempt to learn 3-style for bigblind piece types. Learning comms for x and + centers is quite intuitive as the comms are short and easy to understand. I hope you transition to full 3-style soon for bigblind yo :):)
