Hello All,
I've recently been creating a computer program to solve a Rubik's cube for fun and i'm using a list of know algorithms to solve the cube.
I've got onto the F2L section of my code and have only found some of the algorithms online, they don't include any where the corner cube is in the wrong corner on the bottom face layer.
View attachment 10283this is an example of a corner that can't be easily solved with a single algorithm. I know that I can move in other corners/edges however if they are all in the corners but the wrong way around then none of the algorithms will apply. I could sort this with a some more coding but I would like to know there is no list I could use to make it a lot easier for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Maybe make it take the corner out with R U R' a proceed with the f2l case?

4-cycle inner parity, then slice-flip-slice:

3r U2 3R2 U2 3r' U2 3R U2 3r' U2 3R2 U2 3r
3-4l flip 3-4l'

(I was going to say "no", but then I thought about it for a while and came up with this. 4-cycle inner parity is probably the fastest inner parity alg, but if you prefer, you can also use any other inner parity alg instead.)
Thanks, but just to clarify, is that meant to lead to outer parity and if so would it be faster to do inner slice flip slice at the end to get the L2E case.

It's a full solution of that L2E case. (The thing has a link to alg.cubing.net too.)

Hi I need help with some awkward last layer algorithms. I use Petrus by the way, so my edges are oriented already, giving me three look. Can anybody suggest some good algorithms for the Z Perm and Headlights/Superman case? I use m2 u' m2 u' m' u2 m2 u2 m' u2 and r2 d r' u2 r d' r' u2 r2, respectively. I hate the d moves for the second one, and the way that the m moves work so that you can't do a u move in the first one. (I do ms with my 3rd right finger). Please help.

Those algs are good algs. I would recommend doing m moves with your ring finger instead and make sure that you are doing the ring finger push D’ (is you don’t already) for the headlights case.

Ok, but the thing is, there were actually two algs for the Z Perm and the second one was m2 u m2 u m' u2, etc. The first two U s in the alg swap the four corners differently, depending if you use u' or just u, but like I said, doing a U after m2 was killing me so I dropped it. And now I have do some y s for Z Perm if the corners are going to be swapped wrong. I hope that made sense.

I ll see if I can improve on using my headlights for a little longer.

Ok, I'll see if I can switch to ring finger, but I need some questions answered. Do you do your m2 s with the ring finger then the middle finger following behind it?
Also, how do you do a m' move efficiently? I have to use my right hand to perform a wide r' then a r for an m' move.

For the Z perm, you can use the alg M' U' M2 U' M2 U' M' U2 M2 or R' U' R2 U R U R' U' R U R U' R U' R'.
I only just realised those were the inverted Z Perms, lol. Thx.

Yes, I do my M2’s with my ring finger followed by middle.
Also, keeping in mind that M moves follow L, so I think you have M and M’ switched. With M, people do a ring finger push at the back.

Ok thx, but what do you mean when you say M moves follow L and I have M and M' switched?

Ok nvm, I see what you mean, Kerry_Creech
But lol, the algs still worked.
