I have the yuxin 3x3 and its pretty old.
the pieces are little bit worn.
the cube is pretty sluggish and its not lubed.
if i will lube it with cubicle weight 3 and dnm-37 will it be fast?
(the cube currently is'nt lubed)
It will be a little faster but i would definitely suggest just getting a newer better cube the YuXin Little magic and the MF3RS are extremely good cubes for the price and if you lube it with the DNM-37 it will make these cubes awesome you can also tension them to your preference my MF3RS i have done a ton of solves on and tensioned it to my preference and it breaks in very nicely i have not tried the YuXin little magic but i did hear that that one was good to but i will definitely recommend the MF3RS

I've owned a GAN 356 Air for a week and a half now. I solve it everyday about 120 times. The red side of the cube has started to sound creaky (If that's even a word) I don't have access to lube. Next time I can order more is in about a month. Should I just take a break from cubing and wait until I get lube?

No, i thonk you should just work with what you have until lube is available
Im sure the cube isnt unusable without lube, its just not as good as it could be

Is it spring noises you're hearing? In that case nothing is wrong, you can just keep cubing without worrying. Could you upload a video of the sound?

I have a really dry Valk Power M. I ordered a lube that's coming on the way. In the meantime, can I use Gans Standard Lube?

ok, help me out here. I have read many reviews, posts, etc., where people say they have, or will, ad lube to SLOW a cube down, or "gum it up a little". This does not make sense to me, can anyone illuminate?

If a cube is too fast that it is uncontrollable you will sometimes put a heavier lube to slow it down. Does that make sense?

Normally when we add the lube it is just a thin layer allowing the pieces to glide over the other pieces. adding more increases the size of the layer, allowing the lubricant to move at will with the other pieces then making a counter productive effect of added resistance whilst still giving the smooth feeling the lubricant gives. This type of lubing only really works best with a heavy weight lube (usually silicone based). When attempted with a light water based lube you will find the effect wears off fast as it will be shot out of the pieces and onto your hands. Think of it like this, a very thin layer of snow is far more slippery than a large pile of snow.
