you can get at least sub 15 with that easily, then
i disagree, you need to learn at least a few of your worst cases to get sub 15. you don't need to learn fancy tricks but you need to learn basic cases that you are bad at(they also reduce rotations, needed for subb 15)

I discovered a new F2L alg for inserting edge on the FL. The alg is r U r' U' r' F r F'.
Thoughts?

it's already listed in speedcubedb in f2l 26.

my question:
is it worth it to do d moves in f2l instead of y' U ?
only if your fingers are in an easy position to do the move. If your finger cannot easily do a dw, a rotation is arguably better.

If F R' F' R is sledgehammer, is there a name for something like F R2 F' R2? (In my head it's "super-sledgehammer").
that's hedge not sledge
anyway afaik hedge or "super hedge" requires two hands. I dont think it can be fingertricked with one hand.

F R' F' R is a hedgeslammer, not a sledgehammer (which is R' F R F')
F R2 F' R2 is not a common trigger, which is why it doesn't have a name.

As I am finishing up full PLL (I still have the N and G perms left im dying), and am moving on to full OLL, do you think I should use the algs from jperm.net, or the algs from Cubehead's pdf? Which is to say, which algs in your opinion are the easiest to learn, have the best fingertricks, etc.?

You’ll just have to decide yourself probably - it’s an important skill to be able to tell the difference between good and bad algs in cubing
