  • I used to know my dot OLLs, but I've forgotten it, and just use sledge for EO, should I learn the dot cases?

In the case where you use an algorithm for a final pair. Obviously you could find where it's paired and add/change the moves to be sledgeabble but still.

I think if you're dedicated enough you can use 2 algs that do/don't mess with EO, for example:

In the attached image there is the case where you need to use an alg, the top alg in the three messes with EO, and the second one doesn't, (shockingly) so I personally use those interchangeably.

But it's kinda annoying to have 2 algs-

Funky scramble with a kinda half solved cross, 3 pieces in place, but blue and green is swapped, I solved the cross by adding the last piece to the cross, then doing a M2 U2 M2 to fix the blue and green edges. How would you do it?

    Scramble: L' U2 B2 L D2 L' F2 D2 R' D2 B' L2 U2 R' D2 U2 B2 U' F2.

I sledged the free pair, inserted the last cross edge, keyholed two pairs, M2 U2 M2, then solved last pair.

I also inserted the free pair after solving the cross, should've said that in my original post.

The scramble I put in the original post but better, I came across it naturally, and I had crap execution of it all.
I just got a scramble with a solved blue cross.. sad thing I'm not color neutral...

On cases like this I would recommend just doing the other cross even if you're not neutral.

I disagree imo, your F2L and LL recog will suffer from it. Instead, try to use the solved blue edges to make some xcross for white/yellow or something

Fair, although I think LL should be same recognition.
    I've been getting back into cubing, and my times are 25-35, and I just got a sub 20 with this scramble: F2 U F2 L2 R2 D B2 R2 D L2 B2 F2 L' F2 D' B2 U2 F D' F2 U

I can't recreate the solve- but I know it was along the lines of do cross but with a variant of D (or not..?) then f2l,, then pi, then J perm (non reversed)
My skill for figuring out what's in my blind spots aren't the best so I'm trying to do some slow solves to help with that.
During CFOP F2L, with the final pair made, insertable via URU'R'/U'L'UL or sledge, and there are no edges oriented, is it better to just sledge or 2(U2 Sledge)?

    I think they mean do U2 R' F R F' U2 R' F R F' or U2 sledge U2 sledge
    n0nco
    n0nco
    Yes, what Curunír said is what I mean't by 2(U2 Sledge), U2 L/R Sledge U2 L/R Sledge, AKA U2 R' F R F' U2 R' F R F'/U2 L F' L' F U2 L F' L' F, which solves all edges.

If you use 2-look OLL, then it doesn't make a huge difference in terms of time. You could go for that if it works for you, or just sledge your last pair and do the 2-look OLL. If you use full OLL, then just insert your last pair how you would normally(if dot cases are typically worse, sledge your last pair)
Not good with managing my time so I'm trying to limit youtube

Man, I watch YT all day too. I just can't stop it. Since it's vacation, I've been waaay more than usual. I wonder why...

I just generally do it all the time, I don't really have many things I do weekly, (3; I'm working on it!) so I have 4 days to spend doing whatever I want, and I don't particularly spend it well.

    I’m currently at Thorpe park!

Just started queueing in a longggggggggg queue.
Yesterday I May or may not have broken my computer.. (broken as in corrupted drive)

Currently updating from OSX Sierra to MacOS 12.7.4. (Also I have a really recent back up! So it’s fine)

oh good for you making backups

my dad has an old mac with all his stuff on it that literally says "no backups in the past 2500 days"

Chances are he isn’t doing risky stuff like I was. But yeah it is pretty good to keep backups.

I need to end this once and for all!!!

22A or A2K, aka 2 to Ace/ Ace to King, answers are greatly appreciated when they are A2K!! (But don’t be biased because I said that)

Doesn’t matter where it’s from, it’s just that’s my brother made up a card game and I’m trying to prove that A2K (literally saying A-2-K) but yes it is playing cards.

Doesn’t matter where it’s from, it’s just that my brother made up a card game and I’m trying to prove that A2K (literally saying A-2-K) sounds better; but yes it is playing cards. (Also is that the correct use of a semicolon?)

Just found out you can interact with your current solve by clicking and holding, then moving you mouse in one of the 8 directions, wish someone told me this sooner!
