If I can do M2/OP, is there any point for me to practice full Old Pochmann or should I just stick with M2?

And if I want to be sub-2, what are the breakdowns for memo/execution in M2/OP? I will probably be doing this order:
1) memo corners
2) memo edges
3) execute edges
4) execute corners

What to do if you remember by the end of the solve that you forgot to do parity?

I use Old Pochmann corners and TuRBo edges. I've been thinking about it and I may be stupid, but I can't figure out how to fix it other than undoing all of your edges.

I don't have a cube with me right now (and I use full OP with UR and UBL as buffer) and when I forget to do parity I always get some u-perm at the end. Don't know which Uperm, nor from which angle.

Thanks for the reply. But I think if you're getting a U-perm every time that's just a very strange coincidence.

I figured it out. Whatever targets come after UL and UB will be swapped. So you shoot to one of those swapped targets, then the other, then the first one again.

I don't think you should even if your T-Perm is the best of the world, I find M2 quite faster once you've understood How to shoot to the M slice.

For someone of your speed I'd say you have to memo in 1:15-1:20 and execute in 40-45, I need at least to memo sub 1 to get a chance at sub 2
25-30 to memo corners and 45-50 for edges seem like reasonable splits to me.

:O Thanks for the replies Guys!
So a day or so after i posted this I sat and started to think...
First before i go in explanation do this scramble using Green Front White Top
D2 R YPerm R' D2
Now on top i see at my buffer UBL all UBL means is U= Upper Face and the piece is in the Back Left of upper Layer.
Now THe UBL piece is orange.
And as i was think i realised "Wait, if the buffer is shot to the right spot there is no way the other colors can be swapped!"
So The Orange sticker goes to LRD So that White Sticker has to go to the RFD Sticker! then Setup Yperm Undo Setup!

What i used to think is RFD Meant Right Sticker, Front Sticker, Down Sticker and UBL U sticker Goes to the spot of R. B sticker to F and L sticker to D so i over thought it!

Also what i need help on now is,

Cycles So is the whole cube a Cycle for example memo Edges: LF DR DF LD RU LB Lets say thats the whole memo for edges is that a cycle or is this one cycle of that memo LF DR DF = Cycle 1 LD RU LB = Cycle 2.

ANd how would i memo Flipped edges?

The example you gave is just one cycle because you never get to the same place again. If it were LF DR DF LF or LF DR DF FL then that is a cycle. For flipped edges, it's a short cycle I guess like BD DB. You can also memo where the flipped edge is and use an algorithm just for flipping edges. Right now I like to use (M' U')3 M' U2 (M' U')3 M'

Edit: That algorithm flips UF/FU and UB/BU.

Uh... I responded to your cycle question in the other thread you started. I think you don't have a question about corners but you get it now?

Ok i will keep that in mid So i got one more questiong for you ollie can you answer this question for me!

So as sneaky fox said a cycle is when the piece comes back to the start of the cycle, so if that is the case would i shoot a different piece to the start and continue from there?

That's correct, as long as it's a piece you haven't already shot and as long as you solve that piece at the end as well.

i.e. you break into piece X, where the cycle is (XYZ) you will solve XY first then ZX.

I've started learning bld and I understand it completely now, what is the best way to practice before starting full attempts. should I just start them and see how far i can get or should i start with some pieces solve and add more as I get better?
