Sorry, I meant per day.

Depends how fast you are at the moment. But 1-2 hours a day is ok and i learned that it is not only important to do loads of solves. Its also important to understand the whole cubes and work with algorithms and on the whole thoery stuff.

Greetings, Dennis

I've been having this problem with 4BLD lately. A couple weeks ago, I was improving extremely fast, and got to the point where my PB single was 8:57.xx, with a very good accuracy of about 3 or 4 / 5.
However, more recently, my time seems to go up every attempt I do, and my success rate is about 90%. My last attempt was sup-12. Help?

Push your memo as much as possible, and try to execute slower so you don't pause (same as 3x3)

How much do you review? I would suggest slowing down a bit so you don't need to review as much which will actually make your memo faster. Based upon your tps in other solves, execution is probably already very good for you.

EDIT: Also, if you are using the same rooms/journey's too often, then they tend to get less vivid/slow for me with overuse. You can either give them a break for a couple days or make new routes.

Kind of a random question about comps. I see a lot of videos of people wearing headphones to block noise. I was wondering if you can listen to music during BLD or is that frowned upon?

WCA regulation
2i) While competing, competitors must not use electronics or audio equipment (e.g. cell phones, MP3 players, dictaphones, additional lighting).
2i1) Competitors may use certain non-electronic aids that do not give the competitor an unfair advantage, at the discretion of the WCA Delegate. This includes:
2i1a) Medical/physical aids worn by the competitor (etc. glasses, wrist brace, hearing aids).
2i1b) Earplugs and earmuffs (but not electronic noise-cancelling headphones).

Can someone explain the parity thing?
I know if you have an odd number of targets that you have parity. But someitmes i count that there are 11 edges and 6 corners wrong and I don't know why. LOL

What should I do when there are odd number of corner targets and I'm using a 3-cycle method for corners? Should I be solving the last corner with a Y perm, and then solve parity in the end like in Old Pochmann? I use M2 for edges, and I solve corners first.
So is there a better way?

I review quite a bit. I also always use the same room for 4BLD, so that is probably part of the problem as well.

Odd number of targets not unsolved pieces. There will most likely be a cycle break so it should work out. If you do count 11 and 6 or something weird like that recheck.

Sounds fine. 3OP or BH?

With rotations you can do x2y[L'U'LU, M']y'x2

That doesn't cycle DF. However, the mirror is a TuRBo case so it is useful. But minimal rotations are needed really.

Messed up rotations sorry. First of all, wrong order. Second, y' not y. So it is x2y'[M', L'U'LU]yx2. Here is one. L[D',F'E2F]L'. No rotations.

Good algs for DF -> LD -> DR and the mirror case (preferably without rotations) if you would be so kind?

I don't use a DF buffer so take this with a grain of salt. do you like [L2: D',M'U'M] and you can do the L2 M at the end as (l L)
