My corner memo is trash right now. My memo comes out to something like "D V S M I L P K R"

That is extremely hard to memo just saying hte letters. I often have to re memo just to make sure it sticks.

I want to make use of audio, but how? Unless corners are not many letters I find it extremely hard to memo.

It should not interfere with my multiple sentences edge memo (ugh haven't decided whether I should switch to one long sentence, depending on the answer and if the corner memo would "interfere", I'll think of switching).

Many sentences...I could get that confused with corner memo easily if I made words out of corners...perhaps a single sentence is best....

I shall decide on your answers.
For those letters, I would memo, very simply, the sounds "div, smil (short I sound), picker".

I'll try doing first two visually I suppose...that would lessen the load.

For adding vowels, what if I have a vowel in the memo? How would I know to differentiate that from random letters I'd add in to other stuff...er...ok. How would I know to execute vowels in one word, and not another? Mental note?

Question-How do I visually memo? Haha...

As long as you keep two letters to one sound/word it should be ok. If there are vowels already there, then there's probably no need for any fillers.

For some awkward sounds you might need to make a bit of a mental note. For example, the sounds made from 'EI', 'IE', 'AE' and 'EA' will all be similar.

Hello. I haven't done BLD in what feels like aeons, mostly because I learned Roux just after learning BLD and got hooked to it, and started learning CMLL.

So, I plan on getting semi-back into BLD, since I only have two sets (12 algs) left for CMLL (hopefully I stop procrastinating). I plan to commence this adventure back into BLD by learning M2 (used 100% Old Pochmann in the past), and maybe working on my word list for multi.
Oh, right, my question :p :
I notice that a lot of people use Old Pochmann corners with M2, rather than R2. I, however, use Visual for Corners (non-multi), and find it difficult to keep memory if I'm executing a long-ish algorithm...
So, would R2 be an okay choice? Would it ease my memory? Or would the wiser move be to just practice, practice, practice with Old Pochmann corners, or even just switch memorisation methods.

P.S. The algorithm I use for corners is: R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R

I don't think R2 is much better as the special R layer algorithms are not much shorter and are quite nasty with rotations and one of them has a d' in it. In addition to that you will have to choose between ten algorithms when ever you get an R slice case. The set up moves for stickers on the L slice can also be nasty and long.
In my opinion it is not the best choice to purse R2. I suggest trying to get the alg into your muscle memory so you don't need to think.
Maybe use Eric Limebacks corner memo method.(Search on youtube)
You should maybe try R2 out anyway though. My opinion is likely different to yours

How do you handle midge parity in 5BLD? My order is centers, outer edges, midges, corners...but I'm willing to change that if it makes things easier =)

also which is faster, turbo or BH?

Well, every alg you use for turbo you can still use for BH. So it's definitely a good starting point if you learn how the turbo commutators work intuitively. From turbo you can learn more commutators and simply use BH when a case you know comes up.

R2 isn't a set of algorithms. You could find/learn another alg if you don't like one of them. d' is not necessarily a bad move either...

Having said that, I don't recommend R2. Unlike M2, R2 is not easy to transition to BH from, since DFR is not a good buffer for BH. I recommend using Old Pochmann or possibly turbo and incorporating BH into your solves whenever you feel comfortable with a case.

You can solve all the midges, except swap UB and UL.
Then when doing the corners, y-perm will solve the final corner and switch the midges back.

Then you do B U' B' (Rw2 F2 U2 r2 U2 F2 Rw2) B U B'

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks Zane!!!

For anyone else following this, swap UB and UL midges using the normal 3BLD parity alg (U’ F2 U M2 U’ F2)

Use both, whichever gives you the easier setup. You can also add J-perms to make the setups even shorter.
And it depends, BH implies move-optimal comms, which aren't always fastest. Using speed-optimised algs would make it faster.

R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R
should I use the algorithm above for old pochmann as shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EUWj..._order&list=UL ? or just do it the regular way?
If you'll notice, this is just the Y perm without the F at the start and the F' at the end.
I use both algorithms for corners. E.g.
for UFR, Y-Perm
FDR, Y-Perm with an "R" setup move.
RFD- "Modified Y-Perm" (your alg above)
LDB-"Modified Y-Perm" with D2 setup.

I also use Ja and Jb with set-up moves on occasion. Whatever works.
(Apologies if any of the above are incorrect. I'm very tired).

(FYI, I've decided to stick with Old-Pochmann until I've mastered it. For me this is Sub-3 with decent accuracy. I'm not a fast turner, so getting my execution sub 2-minutes consistently is proving to be very tough, even with no recall delays and using "think-ahead" of the next piece).

For big cubes or multi, would it okay to repeat my "rooms" (prepared image subjects) twice? The reason I'm asking is because I've done two 4BLD attempts, and I can clearly remember the entire memo for both, even though I used the same prepared subjects for both, and I can easily distinguish between which images were for the first attempt, and which were for the second.

It wouldn't be a good idea. Memory experts recommend you wait at least 24 hours until you use the room again, though I've been guilty of reusing the same room for big cube bld, due to the fact I too can distinguish between the images. I never reuse the same rooms for multi, because I never do any BLD after multi, and plus my images stick when I do multi so I'd be conflicting with them.
