As for regular 3x3 BLD, my accuracy is low, I have a lot of DNF-s. Most of the time the problem is that I can't recall the memorized items correctly (using letter pairs, making words on the fly - letter pairs is a bit new for me). Should I keep practice normally, or should I slow down during my memorization, and speed up later?

I would say slow down as much as you need to get a good accuracy and then start pushing the memo little by little to be faster again... That's what I do when I sometimes notice that I try to memo too quickly for my skills

Any type of practice will help. I have experimented with sentences but I was not as good with them. What helped me was to do postmortems sometimes on DNF's and write the pairs that I forgot or couldn't think of quick enough. Having a "bad list" helped me single out what I always screwed up. So you would still go fast but slow down the sessions by having to check what pairs you have trouble with. I'm not sure if some of the fast sentence people visualize the sentences at all for 3BLD but imagining the scene will help a bit.

Hungarian is an Agglutinative language so taking advantage of your languages structure could help too.

Thanks for the advices!

True, and fortunately, there are a lot of letters (44, including 14 vowels). I usually swap a letter to a similar one if that makes easier to find a proper word.
(Maybe that's the secret why Marcell is so fast. :) )

How do you choose the best orientation with the highest number of centers already in the right position in 4x4BLD? It takes me about 25 seconds and I am not sure about choosing the best one.

I like Mike's strategy: Find the side with the most number of centers of the same color together. If there are multiple sides with the same number, then pick a side at random. Next, find the side adjacent to your first pick that has the most number of centers together that does belong next to your first side. Rotate the cube so that those two centers are correct and begin memo.

This method is slightly sub-optimal but I doubt by much. It is fast and will still help make sure that most of the time you have a good number of solved centers.

If 2 centers the same on a side, that is good. If there at least one opposite colored center on the oppsite side, that is even better; it's a good choice for cube orientation.
If 2 centers the same on a side, and there are 2 other (adjacent) centers on the adjacent side, that is good too. It's also a good start.
If you can't see such cases, then it is almost the same.

And don't waste time for searching the overall best. A "good enough" orientation is good enough, if you choose it fast. :)

First successful BLD solve with M2/OP (didn't time it, but it was slow)

I got an official 2:08 with OP/OP already, so I'm wondering if it's worth practicing M2. I think I could just skip it and go with 3-style edges. Opinions? :)

IMO M2 is very good step to take before 3-cycles, because once you understand how M2 (and some simple shortcuts) work, you basically already understand how edge commutators work... and after that it's just optimizing all your cases :)

That's how I did it and now I think I finally start to have pretty good cycles for (almost) all the cases

Okay, I am getting better. I have had a few 'almost' success after getting one succes. I am trying to figure out a better system for edge memo. So I have been reading the wiki where it had a link to elephantpath methode. I have read it twice but I do not understand how to apply it to BLD memo. Let say's I have a path at home of 5 items
-toilet (yeah, most import place ;) )
-kitchen (almost as important if you like food like me ;) )
-couch
-stairs
-bedroom

Now let's say I have a 5 cycle BLD memo,

CG AQ R

How am I going to apply this in my path technique?

EDIT: Most of my solves fail because 12 egdes remembering in letter pairs does not work for me..

if i understand you, you mean 5 targets. at first, for 12 targets and your path i would add 1 more room, cause 12/2(targets per letter pair)=6
for these 5 targets i would memo sth like:
i am smoking a cigar on the toilet, then drink some water (aqua) in the kitchen and watch an R rated movie on my couch.
however, if you don't do this path stuff (imo just good for mbld, then 1 location per cube) there is less stuff to memorize that you don't really use.
alternative memo: smoking a cigar in the water, saying arrrr (like a pirat)
then you have 1 place and 2 actions

EDIT: Do you have a full list of AQ = Aqua CQ = Cigar etc?

You could do that, but it's more fun to make up new words and new stories every solve. Using the same words every time might get confusing when you do a lot of solves in a row. 'AQ' would always lead to Aqua though, cos there aren't many decent words you can make with that.

When I have the time like now.. aquarium, aquilera (as in Christene), aquanaut

Those would result in too much redundant information to recall during execution (it should only represent AQ, nothing more). Try to convert letterpairs to words that are like 2 syllables and 8 letters at most (like cigar, aqua and arrrrrrr :) )

edit: maybe you feel like remembering the rooms themselves is also redundant info, but those are meant for linking the whole thing together. You can also (during memo) suddenly decide: hmm, I'm not gonna put one word in this room, but two, because there's a huge link between them. This might not work for MBLD though, cos you can get confused (during execution) whether you put 1 or 2 words in a room. But it works for me with one cube. Experiment! :D

i have a list and wanted to learn it, but now i just make up words out of the letter pairs for 4bld. for 3bld i make up 1 word per letter, which works quite good and is pretty fast, too.
example sentence in german: bei eseln opfert hans keine nutten tot. CLVIS
english: with donkeys Hans doesn't sacrifice any hookers to death. CLVIS (which makes "see elvis")

I also use only locations and path only for multi, For 1 cube I just do 1 location for corners and audio for edges, it's way, way faster :)

also to find words for the uncommon letter pairs is good to think out of the box, like mixing some english or whatever language words or just use the sound of the letter or even something more strange (example: I use cute for QT, nine for IX (roman numbers)...)
