To those of you who use UBL as their buffer for corners and DF for edges, how do you deal with parity, BESIDES the whole U'F2.... Ugly alg. I have been trying to think of a way to clean everything up in one alg at the end, meaning solving the last corner and edge target at the same time, but I cannot think of any other way of creating a system like this without memorizing all of the different cases (22x21~cases). I know people like Marcell who use DFR as their buffer clean up parity in one alg, or set up to alg and this is more easily accomplished since both buffers are on the same layer. I have considered switching buffers as comms come very naturally to me and I do not see relearning the comms from a different buffer as too much of a hassle. Do you guys think it is worth the switch or should I experiment further on developing a more efficient parity method for UBL?

I personally solve parity somewhere in the progress of solving edges, not always before them, and still with that crappy alg. Some ways to deal with it are to sove your last corner (eg DFR) with a commutator shooting to UBR last (so DFR UBR as last comm). Now your buffer and UBR are switched. When you do edges now, you can solve them normally and do the last comm as <last target, target on the U layer> and setup your buffer to a PLL

Wow ! That help me alot :) thanks. And can you reccomend me an DF flip algorithm ? Or you reccommand me change the buffer ? I memorize something like this : BD UF UR RF ( PS:Sorry for bad english :P)

No problem guys :) I solve it.I learn odd number rule :) I wasn't know that.And I try to solve 3 times they are all DNF cause of m2.I learnt why I make them too.Because I was doing B' U R' U' M2 U R U' B for BU. It was wrong algorithm.(PS: sorry for bad english :P )Now it's time for solve :D

My execution stinks. I avg like 1:10-1:20 for execution. My memo is only 30-40. How can I improve my execution?

Assuming your m2/op setup moves come automatically to you, just turn waaaay faster. Also, slow down your memo temporarily (say 50 seconds) for a week or so and practice on turning without stopping. Basically, think ahead.

I just got a 5BLD DNF by 8 corners, 3 + centers, and 3 x centers (all wings solved). What's a possible explanation for this?

Wow, I can't think of a good explanation for that. What are the corners like? Are they oriented but mispermuted? Permuted but misoriented? Is it possible you simply forgot to do them?

I like to take cases like this and try to figure out what went wrong. Keep track of what the mistakes were, reapply the scramble to a solved cube, and work through the memorization (and maybe even the execution) to figure out where things went wrong. Sometimes these can be real learning opportunities.

So all the corners were oriented right, none of them permuted right. I scrambled again (just now), and it doesn't look like I forgot to exec corners (I'm pretty sure there were 2 D face corners adjacent on the U face after my solve, but after the scramble there are 2 D face corners on the U face which are diagonally opposite)
I really doubt my corner exec could have been so wrong that none of them were solved.
Next time onwards though I'll analyze all my mistakes, thanks for the idea.

The fact that they were oriented right probably means errors in either recall or execution, or both (unless they were that way to begin with). Often it means I just shoot to the wrong spot.

I always try to analyze my mistakes - I think it really helps accuracy. But corners are always hardest to analyze, since I just use audio loop to memorize them, so I've forgotten what I memorized by the time I finish the solve. Occasionally by rescrambling and rememorizing, I can remember what I did, though, especially if it's right after the solve is over.

Even with only 2tps you can execute in 50 seconds... lets just assume that normal scramble has 8 corner targets and 12 edge targets. So that means 20 targets and 10 algs... And one alg (should be about) 10 moves in average so 100 moves at 2tps is 50 seconds.

And if you just try to do 2tps with your eyes open it feels INCREDIBLY slow... You can certainly turn much faster than that. Just eliminate your pauses and optimize/start using comms...
