You have to target the piece you break into the cycle with twice. It makes sense, since you have to put the buffer piece somewhere and then target that spot again so that it goes back to the buffer position. So, as I said, you do AOA and then continue on with, for example, B...B or B...

You don't "memorize" cycles. You learn them. If you already have full 3-style for corners, it could take as little as two months, but don't forget that you're nevfer done improving your cycles.

If you don't understand how to "learn" cycles instead of memorizing them, check out my written tutorial on making the transition (in mah sig).

Why so many accounts though?

Thanks and haha

I use old pochmann for edges and corners but with corners is too slow and I dislike it. For edges I think I'll use TuRBo but it's not really a problem now so I will learn it at a later time. I have to learn TuRBo first?

I agree, I can get sub-2 solves using M2/OP still, and my memo is really slow. I would say maybe learn a couple of really easy ones, but don't worry about it until you get to around 1:30 I would say.

I use M2/OP, and I'm easily sub 2. With fast memo and Antoine's execution, it's possible to be sub 1 too. Also, the progression to 3-cycles from M2 can be done through Advanced M2 (setting up bad cases into good cases). I know Corey uses Advanced M2/OP + some 3-cycles, and he averages about 1 minute.

I think you should learn M2. It's easier to transition to 3-cycles from there. Noah has a great tutorial on Cubing World (Youtube)

Ok. Why not turbo? Maskow use it I kow

I'm not saying Turbo is bad, but I'm saying that if you eventually want to learn 3-cycles with commutators, M2 is a better choise. In M2 you are already applying about 16 commutators, when one of the targets is UB and the other one is not in the M-slice.

Once you feel confident with M2, and you are constantly sub 2 with M2/OP, you could start learning either Advanced M2, or 3-style corners. If you decide to learn Advanced M2, you basically start setting up the bad cases into good cases that include UB as a target and the other target isn't in the M-slice, thus learning more commutators.

Ok. I'll learn the M slice cases and then I'll use it. Thanks!

No, TuRBo is just as viable as M2. I learned 3style from TuRBo and I personally think it teaches much more setup intuition which is very useful when you start using other cycles.

Ok. Now I really don't know that to do :P
But I think I will prefer for TuRBo because the name is better

Ok but not with Old pochmann also for edges right? So I'll learn TuRBo a little bit and then, at 1:20/1:30 I'll learn corners commmmmutators. Thank a lot!

Switching to turbo or M2 is a must before going into comms. A little patience is key. It's not a perfect analogy, but you learning comms right now would be like someone learning full OLL at 40 second averages. Sure it will help, but there are much better things to work on.

Bear in mind that this is from a purely improvement based point of view. If comms are interesting to you and you think it would be more fun, by all means learn them, but if your goal is to get faster at BLD as quickly as possible, you should wait until sub 1:30.
