It just comes down to personal preference, try to test both at a comp if you can so you can buy the one that fits you the mostis best the valk 3 or the gans 356 air?
Your should do as many solves as you fell like doingHow many solves should I do at minimum per day if I average around 23 seconds?
@Berd did an Ao1000 at 20 seconds once. How many solves should I do at minimum per day if I average around 23 seconds?

It just depends how much you feel like practicing and how fast you want to progress. You'll almost definitely progress faster if you want to practise than forcing yourself to do so.
I've bought from one small cube store in Canada back in the summer of 2014 I believe but I don't remember what it was called and it probably doesn't have as many cubes as you may want lolWhere is a good place to buy cubes online with a low shipping price to Canada?

My times are getting kinda sluggish. My lookahead just got bad and my TPS is doing anything but making up for that. Should I take a break? I'm really frustrated about this because I'm not consistently averaging sub-12 anymore. If I should take a break, how long should it be? I'm going to a competition on October 8 so it can't be too long but I also don't want to fail all of my 3x3 solves there like I did at Nationals *extreme exaggeration alert, I did like a quarter second worse than I expected*
are you sure you aren't sabotaging me in case you go to Dixon Fall? jkI find that whenever I get frustrated with 3x3 I just start focusing on a different event like 4x4 or skewb (love skewb but my PB is like 5 secs and I avg like 10 ) Anyway, just focus on a different event for a couple weeks. And when you come back to 3x3 you'll be as determined as ever.

At Dixon Winter, 8 people made the finals and the cut was a 12.3 average. I'm speculating that they might do 10 this time, and even if they don't you've got a good shot. If you are going, compete in every event you can do as long as it won't take an unreasonably long time, especially this one because there's a flat registration fee. I'm doing every event (trying BLD for the first time because I got a success a few nights ago, maybe 10% chance of a success)Nah, I'm not even going to do 3x3 because I doubt I'd make finals And it look like I'll really have to try if I'm going to do good in 2x2 cause a lot of fast 2x2ers are on the list... Plus I'm still struggling to get OKish with all the other events so I can make the cut-off...
You can do (2) like:How do people solve the F2L cases set up by doing
1) R U' R' U F' U F U'
and
2) R U' R' U2 F' U' F
?
I've always done
1) U y' R' U' R y U' R U R'
2) y' R' U R U2 y R U R'
but two rotations for a single F2L pair = bad, and I figure there must be a better way.
