you should just learn the basic Olls, like the cross situations. You can use the begginer method to get to the cross on oll. On pll, learn the algorithm that gets you to edge situations, and you can learn 3 algorithms to solve the cube. This is intermediate fridrich, and then from there you can slowly learn new algorithms for more common situations.

Waiting for v-cube 5!

yea sooland that doesnt really make much sense to me. should i learn the oll's because i know how to get it all on the last layer its probably a little slower but a lot less memorizing.

If you're going to be fast at Fridrich, you're going to have to memorize a lot of algorithms. You may not need full OLL, but you're still going to need to learn some. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be done.

You could have been practicing a PLL in the time it took you to write a message saying there are too many algs. ;-)

Fridrich Help (Oll and Pll)

I have all of the F2L algorithms down, but I can't find out how to learn Oll. It's not the algorithms, but I can't repeatadly get a case to work on an algorithm. For example, there's the one where a single dot in the middle, two bars on the side and a dot in the front and back. How can I get this case more than two or three times to kind of manipulate it so I can practice the Oll? It's a new case every time so I can't learn the algorithms. Same thing with PLL.
Also, I am unfamiliar with certain terms such as ZB, BLD, COLL, etc.
Thanks!

I suggest just repeating your OLL over and over. Depending on which OLL it is, it should return back to it's original case in either 2 or 3 or 4 or 6 cycles. (Are there some that need 12 cycles?) Or, as others suggest, alternate your OLL with the setup scramble (the inverse of your OLL).

I have trouble learning the OLLs too, but I am doing okay with 2 step OLLs. I want to improve my cross, F2L and PLLs first before learning the rest of the OLLs.

EDIT: Janelle's reply (#3) with badmephisto's video is the best.

or you could just take an old 3x3x3 , remove all the stickers except for one side.
that way u can practice with out having to worry about setting up a special case. thats what i did and it worked for me.

Intuitive OLL and PLL

Hi guys,

Just wondering...
While we have intuitive F2Ls, are there intuitive OLLs and PLLs?

Thanks in advance!
