Does anyone know what cube is used more, the Moyu Weilong v2 or Dayan 5 zhanchi, what are the differences? I heard Mats 5.55 was with a zanchi, but other videos I see him with a Moyu Weilong. I thought Zemdegs 5.66 was with a zanchi but I am not sure. Other recent videos I see zemdegs with Moyu Weilong. In what area does each cube excell at?

I have Zhanchi but not Weilong. I actually do not like Zhanchi that much. It doesn't allow you to cut much corner compared to other speedcubes, and turning isn't very smooth.

If you are really fast, I would recommend Gans 3. I've also heard Moyu are good so any one among Tanglong, Aolong, Hualong and Weilong would probably be better than Zhanchi. I also have a Qiyi thunderclap. It's also way better than Zhanchi. I can't really comment on Moyu cubes since I don't have any, but based on what I heard they are better.

I don't think Zhanchi or Weilong are among the most used cubes any more. I'd say the most popular cubes right now are Aolong v2, Gans 356, Yuxin and probably Meiying. Don't now about Mats but yes, Feliks 5.66, at least one of them, was done with a white Zhanchi. More recently he changed to an Aolong v1 (that got him the [in]famous 5.33 DNF corner twist), then a Gans 357 and latest that I know of is the Gans 356, I think. He's probably used other cubes in between but I don't think he used a Weilong, at least not for long and not recently.

Regarding best areas of each cube a long article could be written on that subject matter. You have plenty of video reviews and blog entries where you can find information about that, unless you have a more specific question that can be shortly answered.

The Zhanchi and the Weilong are both outdated cubes.

Yes and no. Define what you mean by outdated. Recently Feliks did a comparison of several cubes, new and old and he said he was surprised to realize how good the Zhanchi still was (I think he got times that were second only to the Gans 356). If outdated means they went commercial years ago then yes. If outdated means they are really bad compared with newer cubes then only marginally or outright no. I am barely sub-20 with the best cube out there, while Feliks was sub-6 with a Zhanchi. I have a Zhanchi and a Weilong and many other newer cubes like Aolong v1, Yuxin, Yueying, 357... and I don't think there's that much of a difference between them if correctly set up. Which one I use as my main is just a question of preference but I have used as mains at least 4 or 5 different cubes and when I have them set up to my liking and I have enough time with them to be confortable, my times are very similar with most of them.

Sometimes I think, oh my new main is so great because I average this or that and my old main was bad because I averaged 1.5sec slower. Then I try my old main and I discover it's not the cube but me. I'm improving and now I can easily beat my old times with my old main and get averages close to those of my new main.

SOOOOOO FALSE! Feliks is barely sub-7 at home, perhaps not even, much less sub-6!

As if I having made a mistake invalidates my whole argumentation. It also depends on what you mean by sub-6. I meant sub-6 single (WR 5.66) but of course I should have compared long averages or else I would be sub-14, which I'm not. The point I was trying to make is that calling a cube like Weilong "outdated" is going too far, as it's not the cube but the cuber what makes a difference and a weilong is capable of fantastic times, like, e.g. as Isaac Lai has pointed out, a long standing (2 years) WR average that's more than half a second faster than the second average in the world ranking, for example. Not bad for an outdated cube.

Does anyone know a store or a good website where I can buy a Gans 356 or a Moyu Aolong v2. I live in the Netherlands and I dont have a creditcard.
I do have paypal. But my parents dont like when I buy stuff from amazon or ebay. Is there a european website or a german website or something that sells these cubes?

Can someone maybe tell what exactly is corner twisting? From what I heard it is not a good thing? What exactly is it and how can it occur?
I saw Zemdegs his 5.33 fail, I watched the video and it looks like the whole cube is solved except 1 white corner wich is facing the wrong way how can that happen?

It can happen when you don't turn accurately. It's not possible to solve normally; you have to grab the corner and twist it back.

You could check out Lightake. Its a Chinese company. They accept paypal and have cheap cubes prices. Only thing is that the shipping takes quite a while unless you pay for faster shipping. You could also check out The Cubicle although I don't think they accept paypal but still good to check it out.

How fast do pros that use fridrich learn all 57 oll and 21 pll algoritms? And what speedcubing method is used most aside fridrich? I only know of Alexander Lau that he uses Roux and he is pretty good at it.

Depends how quickly they want to learn them. I'm sure if they practised a lot they could finish all of them in a week, but for most people it can take two or three months.

After CFOP, I believe Roux is the most used speed method. After that is ZZ.

How fast, on average, are the fastest Petrus method solvers? Sub-15? Sub-12? Sub-10?

I know Petrus forms the base of fewest moves solving for intermediate and sometimes even advanced methods. I'm curious how it does as a speedsolve method in today's environment. Last I remember I think really fast Petrus solvers were sub-12, and maybe even sub-10? Is that correct?

I don't think anyone has an avg of 12 sub 10 with petrus.

do official avgs get rounded or cut off? what about big avgs, what do you guys do? is "rolling" an avg continuing it and seeing if you can get a better avg? what are the odds of a LL skip if one factors in edge control(sledge) thanks
