It's a bad camera on my phone, so it's not an orange color, it was supposed to be red on both pictures. Upper layer is yellow. I will try to post better pictures.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a 3x3 barrel solution guide you recommend....i've gotten to the 3rd layer and am running into parity issues. Thanks in advance!

I don't know of any tutorials off the top of my head, but I assume you have an OLL parity, with a single edge flipped? That can happen because the middle layer edges can be flipped either direction and still appear solved. If you flip a single edge in the middle layer, the last layer will no longer have this parity.

Hi PghNinja,

I plan to make a barrel cube info sheet, but just haven't got to it yet.
Here are a few algs for some of the parity cases you might get:

Orient 1 Edge on of Last Layer
UL edge: R U' R' U' F' U F U' R U' R' U' F' U F
UF edge: (R' F R F') R' U2 R2 U R2' U R

Swap Two F2L Corner + Edge Groups: (but then needs a Corner Swap)
R U R' U F U' F' U' R U R'

Opposite Edge Swap UF <---> UB (also swaps FL column and FR column)
U F2 U R2 U F2 L2 D2 B2 U' L2 D' F2 D'

Adjacent Edge Swap UF <--> UR (also swaps FL column and FR column)
(U F2 U2 L2 U) F2 (U F2 U2 L2 U)

Let me know if any of these aren't quite right or if you know of any others.

Does anyone know a easy Y perm? I already know a normal one

F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'

Does anyone have any good OH CMLLs for this case + the mirror?

visualcube.php

Currently the best algs I have are
R U R' U R U' R D R' U' R D' R2
x U R U' R2 U R U' z U R z' R U R U' R2 U r
for this case, and
R2 D R' U R D' R' U R' U' R U' R'
R U2 R' U' R U' R2 U' R' U z U R' D R U' D z'
for the mirror, but I don't like any of them.

This, along with diag T, are the only ones I'm still not satisfied with. I've given up on diag T, but I feel like there must be something better for these cases.

I'm working on improving algs for the HD 2x2 method, but it's proving rather difficult. Mostly I'd like advice on genning the algs, not asking for people to get them for me. However, if you'd like to help, feel free to talk to me about it. Anyone have anything to help? I'm just using cube explorer with only corners, and going is slow.

For 2x2, Ksolve may be better option than cube explorer. There's a bit of a learning curve involved though

Hi! I learnt how to solve the square-1 today, but i cant get the parity algorithm in my head. Its too long! I was using Legoboyz3's tutorial.

What is the shortest parity alg? I really need a shorter one :P
And maybe some tips on how to get used to the notation system, i always seem to f*ck up on algs if i dont watch someone do it infront of me.

Thanks,
//Skyz
