What's a good tension for the Gan X S? I have the stickerless version, mine is Hex nut 1, and GES 2(1 click from the loosest). I just want it to corner cut 45 degrees but it completely locks up when I try. I followed the settings on posts where they complimented the superb corner cutting of the gan x s, but mine needs really high force to get it to cut, compared to other cubes where it smoothly cuts 45.

That's one of the problems with GAN cubes. I've had a gan XS that cuts 45 effortlessly, but I've also had one that won't really cut it at all. Gan just has really bad quality control. I hope you can find a solution though.

Thanks for the confirmation. Quite disappointing, I thought Gan cubes would be of much better quality than this. A small note, the corner cutting has suddenly gotten slightly better overnight. It cuts 45 with slightly less effort now than yesterday. Maybe it just needs breaking in, but it is definitely not that great out of the box.

Does anybody know what the default settings are for the gan 12 maglev I have messed up my settings and I just wan the old settings

Got it a couple of days ago. At the moment I have set 4 center travel (1 is the tightest, 6 is the widest) and 5 spring tension (1 is the lowest, 6 is the strongest). Also, stock triangle magnets at the strong setting. Factory lube so far.
It's fairly fast, corner cutting is OK, but I think I may increase tension a bit or make it a little tighter after more solves. We'll see.

Edit: eventually I moved to 2 center travel, tension is 4 at the moment. This is much better for me. Might still increase tension a little more.

Hey guys, I was a bit dumb and decided to dismantle my WRM Maglev with CubersHome corner-to-core kit, and I realised I don't have a way to make the screws are tightened correctly. I can't use the braces that come with the WRM because the CuberHome kit makes the core too large to use. How can I make sure the screws are of the correct tightness?

For tensioning, start on opposite sides (ie white and yellow), and pull apart on each of the center prices and tension till they both have (roughly) the same distance from the core. Repeat on the rest of the sides, then go over all of them and find tune as necessary.

Oh sorry you're misunderstanding - the leaflets that come with the cube imply that there's a 'correct' tension that can be achieved with the plastic tools that are included. It's not an issue, I just figured I'd try to get them as tight as they're intended to be so that meaningful comparisons can be made between the maglev settings.

how to i performance mod my maglev 13?
i put the magnets at max
i made everything else at “3” which is a the middle
do i like clean it with wet tissue or towels and lube it or smth like that?
i did order some lube from gan tho

How should I setup the dayan nezha 5x5 M (strong) to make it corner cut better? Mine can cut 1.5 pieces forward which is fine, but can only barely cut one third of a piece reverse which result in occasional catches.

I really hope I can make it reverse corner cut at least like half piece. Even my qiyi ms has better reverse corner cut than my nezha.
