How do people solve the F2L cases set up by doing
1) R U' R' U F' U F U'
and
2) R U' R' U2 F' U' F
?

I've always done
1) U y' R' U' R y U' R U R'
2) y' R' U R U2 y R U R'

but two rotations for a single F2L pair = bad, and I figure there must be a better way.

1) U2 sledge U2 insert
2) R U2 R' U R U R' U insert

For 2 you can also do R B L U' L' B' R' if you somehow manage to find a good fingertrick for that.

How do people do AUF after doing an A-Perm OH and 2H?
It takes me way too long than seems optimal; any tips?

Also OH H-perm; just H-perm in general, not with an AUF.
My table abuse is really sluggish, and the 2Gen alg is just slow.
I have trouble shifting my grip doing a U2 then M2 and vice versa. Pinky R' ftw.

Global OH Average 22-23 btw.

I'm a little bit slower than you (24ish), but for A perm, I AUF the block at the beginning then execute it from whatever angle it's at. And for H perm idk, both the MU and RU work, just try harder i guess

For the H-perm, I think it might be a good idea to look at GuRoux's video or some other roux solvers.

wow that is very nice, I think I'll use that as well

You can probably just do l U r U' r' U' l'. Seems faster than anything else you can do for that case. I still prefer the other option as I somehow have better lookahead there.

Where is a good place to buy cubes online with a low shipping price to Canada?
Cubicle.us: Located in the US, you save 10% of your order on shipping (for example if you buy $100 in cubes you'll take $10 off shipping). I use this one.
or
CubingOutLoud: Located in Canada. $10 flat rate shipping.

How do I scramble?

I notice that just about every timer site (I'm really new, not good enough to time yet) has a scramble thing. What is considered the top and front when scrambling? I don't really get it.

You hold the cube with the white face on top and the green face on front, then just apply the moves given by the scramble sequence (in that case the white moves would be U = up moves, and the green moves would be F = front moves for example).

And ' moves mean counter-clockwise. If you need any other help, just pm me, always glad to help out a fellow North Carolina cuber.

At this stage you can probably just scramble however you want. It's probably faster for you to scramble randomly anyway.

But learning to read the scramble does help you learn algorithms. I think more experienced cubers follow the given scramble because (1) it's more efficient for them to follow the scramble, as otherwise they don't know when to stop and might spend more time scrambling; (2) the scrambles on the timers will result in a more truly random state, as when one scrambles without a cue he tends to do the same thing over again without realizing.

Hello, I want to get sub-15 but I don't know what my breakdown of steps should be. (How long it takes me to do each step)

I would suggest you to first learn cfop..
It will really help u
But.learn it from badmephisto
His vds are the best
You can first.learn normal f2l and then improve u r f2l when u average around 20 with only.f2l..
First learn two look oll n pll
N when u become familiar n better with the method then only u go for one look
But dont always put u r focus on algs as they arent more.imp than f2l
Thanks

If I were you I would stop using beginner's now and just look at some of the more advanced methods (CFOP is not the only way to go). I would recommend looking at CFOP, Roux, ZZ among other before deciding what you think is best for you. There is a very good thread in the How to section that has been stickied iirc.

Is badmephistos PLLs and OLLs up to date or have their been new better algs? And in case they are outdated where can I find up to date algs?
