Is there any intermediate LL method between a beginners method which uses 4 algorithms and an advanced one that uses 20+ algorithms, like an 8 or 9 algorithm method, that's a compromise of speed and memorization?
As TDM mentioned above, 4LLL is what you are looking for. It's also worth mentioning that you can learn any LL method one algorithm at a time and just revert back to the beginner's LL when yoh don't recognise the case.

Guys like feliks are good in alot of puzzles, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7. I red it can take 3-5 years to become a speedcuber on the 3x3. So how can he be so good on so many puzzles? If you are sub 10 on 3x3, does that automatically mean you are good at 4x4 etc or do you have to practice 4x4 for years before youre world class at that? And then do you have to practice 5x5 for years to get good at that?

Once you are fast at 3x3, progress on 4x4 will be faster as you already know techniques like look ahead for example.

Actually it's more the other way around. You can practise 3x3 by doing other events such as Mega and Big cubes which will enhance you 3x3 anyway.

How much practice does it take to get sub 20 with one hand? I usually rotate alot during f2l because I dont know how to do L turns

If I am averaging about 25 seconds using Fridrich, I already know PLL and I have a 10 second F2L on average, what can I do to bec

What are the advantages and disadvantages of solving methods

Hello, I discovered the world of cubing, and can solve a cube in about 2 mins using a simplified cfop method. I was reading the different speedcubing methods post, and I was wondering what the community can recommend based on experience (looking into roux)

Thanks!

That LL seems pretty slow...

Just work on recognition and drill the tps for those algs.

I would recommend just looking at lots of different methods and just seeing which ones you like.

Of the top of my head I would say at least CFOP, Roux, ZZ, PCMS, Heise and SSC.

Okey, so I like learning algs, I am almost done with 2GLL.
Than I probably am going to learn VLS. My question is after those is there sens in learning:
BLE, Jabari's oriented LS+LL (weird name, got it from Chris's website) tripod, line, reversed line, '2 U blocks' few sets of CLS. Are they worth learning?
In which order should I learn them (or try)?
What's the difference between line and reversed line?

When I'm solving the middle section using the middle vertical line technique, oftentimes I'll end up where the last cube I need to complete the section is in the right position on the middle row but with the colors flipped. I usually just repeat the normal algorithm and that moves it to the top so I can go from there, but I was wondering if there's a faster way that doesn't require unnecessarily repeating steps

do you mean M2 U2 M2?

Is this a good Z perm?

its m2 u m2 u m-prime u2 m2 u2

its on a rubiks brand cube so it might be slower for me I'm debating buying aolong v2.

That is the same z-perm I use, however on a Rubik's brand may be very, very difficult. I Have an Aolong v2 but I recommend the Qiyi Thunderclap, or Moyu Weilong, they are both 10$ and are AMAZING cubes, the thunderclap is my main and is very fast. The Thunderclap also has very good m-slices.

What was the first cube that was meant to be solved at a faster pace than a normal rubik's cube?? What company was the first to take such an attempt at doing so, and what was the cube's name?

Don't know where to ask this so I'll just put it here:
How do you do U2? I just do two turns with my index finger. I know I sound kinda noobish :P. Do you use your index then middle? If so, I just can't seem to do it because when I do it, it seems sloppy and my middle finger always catches on the E slice or whatever. Help pls?

Just keep drilling and doing it over and over again. And yes you do do index and middle.

The catching problem may be something to do with the way you hold the cube so watch some videos and try to copy that.

When to Switch To CFOP?

Hi I'm Fear. So this weekend I made my pb of 1:03 on my rubiks brand and I've been getting better average 1:20 to 1:30. I was wondering, when should I switch over to CFOP? I feel like this should be the time I start trying but I'm not sure as I'm relatively new to speedcubing. I've been using beginners method over my cubing times. I will also be getting a new cube. does anyone have an idea on when to switch? I've gotten the algorithms on paper from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEQNC0s1NTg. Think it is cfop xD. I've gotten the basics of it though I've only memorized two. T_T
