oh i get your point guys...so what you suggest is that before i learn an algorithm...i make sure it "fits to my hands",find the one that i am better with...i'll keep that in mind...OLL/PLL i'm coming! :D

Exactly. This is why the wiki on this site is a good place to go for OLL/PLL algs, because numerous algs are listed for each case, making it so you can try a bunch and find the one you like best.

find algorithms that are easy to fingertrick/you can memorize/you can perform in under x seconds

personally i like using U and R moves and sometimes F moves.... just stuck on trying to find good N perms and G perms right now....

N perms are cool, imo, they have good flow.

I haven't found a lot of good G-perms for myself. The only thing I've been able to change about my G-perms are the fingertricks I pick up from other cubers, not the algs themselves :(

@OP It's all preference, as the people above have suggested already.

With a ranking function for the algs the wiki would have worked. Now it ... doesn't.

Don't know what he uses but I use the normal Na perm (R' U L' one), and an odd but sick Nb perm (L U L' y' Jb perm y L U' L')

ok...i am kinda new,so...what are the N/G perms????

Yeah a ranking system for the PLLs and OLLs would have worked well so that people could find popular/good algorithms easier.

For example, the Y perm that I use is the second from the bottom on the list of 14 algs.

Is it worth it learning full OLL/PLL?

I have been improving very slowly for the last year. A year ago, I was averaging 40 and now I am averaging 30 and it stays like this, so it seems.

I'm currently doing F2L and 4LLL. I've been thinking about learning full OLL and PLL but I don't know if it's worth it. How much faster will it make me? Will I then be able to get sub-20 (cause that is my goal, which seems impossible to get as of now)

Thanks!

At this moment (after 1.5 hours of practicing):
2LLL CFOP Ao5: 14.70 Optimal -OLL+PLL
3LLL CFOP Ao5: 15.08 (9.77 single! Corner orientation skip) 2.58% slower -EO+CO+PLL
4LLL CFOP Ao5: 18.06 22.85% slower -EO+CO+CP+EP
I wasn't making any statistics lately, so if I made a mistake, please, correct me.
Theoretically You would have 24 seconds average with 2LLL. It could be even better, or a little worse, but still better. Learn some PLL's, than OLL's and You'll progress. (try to look ahead and work on Cross-F2L transition).

For sub-20 it's enough to learn full PLL, OLL is not necessary, but it's very importaint to choose good algorithms with would fit you, so go to wiki and try algorithms for each perm till you find the best ones.

I know all PLLs and am currently learning the last OLLs.
I see my problem with my last 2 Look cases not in executing 2 Olls, but: recognize, execute, recognize, execute. Thats 2 pauses. So it is not only the execution that costs time, but also the recognition.

But the answer to your question is: Yes it is definetly possible to do Sub20 with 2 Look OLL and also with 2 Look PLL but its harder than doing it with full OLL and PLL.
My approach was like this (hadn't the intention to learn full PLL and OLL too):
Learning 4Look LL
Learning FullPLL
Learning 2 Look OLL
Learning Point Cases to save moves.
And at this point i decided to learn the rest, too.
