New 3x5x7 sorta kinda PB today. Wasn't really timing precisely but I did keep an eye on the clock. Took me about 3 hours, but it's the most I've done on my own. I mostly consider it a PB because of how much of the solve I was able to do on my own. I only had to check out twistypuzzling's YouTube channel at the beginning to remember where to begin and for a couple of parity fixes, just to remember which layer to turn, not what to do afterwards. I made it back to cuboid shape on my own, reduced both (sorta all 3) steps of the edges on my own and, finished the corners at the end on my own. Saving up for the Traphum 3x5x7, holy crap I wish somebody would mass produce this damn thing lol.

Edit: 34 year old collector/solver not the usual post you see in the achievement thread, but I had to brag somewhere lol.

Got two big PBs this past week! 3x3 single and Ao12.

Single: 6.74 → 6.39
Scramble is L D2 R' F B' L D2 R' F' R2 U B2 D B2 L2 B2 L2 U R2 U' B', sadly I wasn't able to reconstruct the solve
This 0.35 second improvement is also my biggest improvement since 2020, when I PB'd by 0.38 seconds. It's also my 3rd PB of the year, after being stuck at 6.92 since 2020!

The PB is small, but I'm just happy to get the sub-10!

For clock, I got best single, best ao5, and best ao12 at the same time. The only reason I also didn't get the best mo3 is because I messed up and got a 30 lol

Well, over the past two days, it's only taken me about 4 hours of hands on time + reassembling the second one solved to use as an alg tester + developing a new set of commutators + a lot of cussing, but I've finally solved my Sam Gear Orbit Cube for the second time in it's life lol. Holy crap what a long winded puzzle!

The 1.54 is PB single but it wasn't even one looked so I know I can do better.

Method wise it's kind of hard to describe where I'm at because I haven't looked at a tutorial for skewb past intermediate (except two NS algs) but I've figured out most of advanced just by toying around with it. Really the only thing I'm missing is some of the three sledge peanut cases and the pi + horizontal U perm cases, plus maybe NS algs for the rest of the five sledge cases before I need to heavily focus on execution. I feel like I've got a decent amount of potential in this event and am going to try and podium in it at a comp by the end of next year.
