As stated in the 2024 thread, I changed my mind, and I will share my accomplishments now.
I spent most of the year on 2x2, though a good chunk on 3x3 and OH as well.
2x2, I went from 6ish seconds to 3.5, and I learned Eg-1, and learned to one-look well. I had a lot of ups and downs, but I am glad I improved a lot in 2x2. Currently my best event in terms of Kinch. Though I have not been to a comp yet, if we use
average_of_100, I can use my pb ao100 to determine Kinch. With a 3.31 ao100, my Kinch is 39.6.
3x3, I am very happy with how 3x3 turned out. I went from averaging more than 40 to less than 20 in like 3 months, and I had a lot of fun with it, and it is a good introduction to a lookahead event. Kinch is currently 25.9.
OH, the last event I put some practice into. I only did this event occasionally, but it was nice knowing I could get my times globally sub-1, so that was fun I guess. Currently 16.5 Kinch.
Other events, I bought a pyra and skewb, and was able to learn them, and I liked being able to teach my brother how to solve a pyra, so that was fun. I also got a few 3BLD successes this year, so that was good.
2023 was my first full year of cubing, and it was a great year for me.
