I just got a 5x5 yesterday, is there just one or two algs I can use to solve L2C/L2E? I have to go to an alg site and look for 1/10ish right now, and I'd rather not learn a bunch of algs just for a basic solve.

Can anyone help- very new to this- trying to learn how to solve 5x5, can this be solved? 4 sides are solved and I have this on this side and opposite side?
Thanks

I'm really late, but hold the two solved sides on the left/right, and do e2 m e2 m'

L2C: Make a 2×3 block on the left side of the front face, then spam Rw and U moves until you solve the last bar. The "Sunes" (Rw U Rw' U Rw U2 Rw' and Rw U' Rw' U' Rw U2 Rw') are useful to deal with cases where there's only one x-centre (a corner-centre) left to fix.

L2E: Learn one of the parity algs and that'll be enough. The easiest one is probably just whatever OLL parity alg you should already know, like r U2 x r U2 r U2 3r' U2 l U2 r' U2 r U2 r' U2 r'. (If you're up for learning just one more parity alg, r U2 r U2 x U2 r U2 3r' U2 l U2 r2 is also very useful.) For anything else, just do slice-flip-slice until either it's solved or you get one of the parity cases you know.

I like to use slice flip slice and two algs to solve specific cases (Parity and swap two wings)
Parity: Rw U2 x Rw U2 Rw U2 Lw' x' U2 Lw U2 Rw' U2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Rw'
Wing swap (hold the wings on the right) Lw' U2 Lw' U2 F2 Lw' F2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Lw2

Hey guys, I've been getting really into 6x6 and 7x7 lately
I avg 4:00 with the MGC 6x6 using redux
I avg 6:40 with the YJ Yufu V2M using redux

Can someone give be some tips on how to get faster? I think my weak spots are first 2 centers and last 4 edges, but I don't know how to improve at those specific places.

Thx!

Is it a good idea to do keyhole on big cubes? Thanks
I've noticed Feliks doing it a few times, so probably yes. (In the sense that you're using keyhole in addition to regular F2L pairs, rather than using exclusively keyhole to solve the first three slots, which is Bad and you shouldn't do that.)

So, got my 9x9 a couple days ago. The first time, I was able to solve it without a problem. But this time I have a weird edge parity. Looking at my last edge from left to right, the pieces are: flipped, normal, normal, normal, normal, normal, flipped. This doesn't look like regular 5x5 edge parity, and when I tried the edge parity alg it didn't do anything special. All other edges are paired

Imagine gluing the middle five layers together; now you have what's equivalent to a 5×5×5 with a very fat middle layer. (a.c.n)

How do you do L4E on 5x5? I've seen people do Freestyle edges with two on the front and 2 on the top (mainly Jay), and also people do slice flip slice and 3 cycles (if thats what they're called. I'm a bit confused rn, and L4e is one of my weak points, pls help. Also when I do freestyle edges for l4e I only solve 1 edge some fo the time and other times I solve all 2. Thanks in advance

I started to practice 5x5 this week, and I did my first 100 solves and my average is 2:40.00

I want to be sub1:50 by the end of the year, so I would like to know what is the average of the splits to be sub 1:50

First 6 centers ?
First 8 edges ?
Last 4 edges ?
3x3 stage ?

Now my average is: (2:40.00)
First 6 centers: 50 sec
First 8 edges: 1:10.00
Last 4 edges: 20 sec
3x3 stage: 20 sec
