I currently average 14 in 3x3 and my average times in big cubes are this
4x4- 50 seconds
5x5- 1:30
6x6 3:00
7x7 4:30-5:00

I wondered if u could make a formular for calculating how 3x3 converts to other events
so i made this thread where i will try to collect data.
if you want to help me gather data, reply what you average in 3x3 and in 4-7. if you dont do all big cubes just reply what you average in 3x3 and the ones you do

Is this a ratio/proportion?
If so, a lot of people focus on 3x3 way more than big cubes.
My times are: 3x3:22.22,4x4:1:30,5x5:2:40,6x6:7:30,7x7:12:30

Somebody in the Big Cube Discord just did this yesterday:

This is data from the top 200 solvers for each event for ratio between results in that event and 3x3.

Your ratios are 3.57, 6.43, 12.86, and 20.36 (I used 4:45). This means you're doing great in 4x4 and 5x5 relative to your 3x3 times, whereas your 6x6 and especially 7x7 times have room for improvement.

thank you i did not know that. I should probaly have done more research before making the thread. But i still wonder if you could calculate what the splits for the events should be on various methods considering what you average on 3x3 . Like could you calculate if you have faster yau cross on 7x7, than average for your speed om 3x3. And if you could use that to see wich skills Got you to that speed on 3x3

Fred gave more exact data, but as a rule of thumb, it’s roughly 4x from 3x3 to 4x4, 2x from 4x4 to 5x5, 2x from 5 to 6, and 1.5x from 6 to 7
