To improve on your cross, I suggest watching walkthrough solves and slow solving to learn tricks and solve the cross in a fewer number of moves.

Extended cross, or x-cross in solving the the cross while also solving one or more F2L pairs.

HI,
does anyone know how to increase turns per second for two handed solve?
I see guys on youtube execute their oll and pll really fast, how do they reach such high turning speed?

Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of drilling algs and practise.

Alg for drilling
1) perform alg
2) repeat n times where n -> infinity.

Hi,
Does anyone know some good finger tricks for the V perm:
R' U R' d' R' F' R2 U' R' U R' F R F
I use mu right wrist and right index finger to do R' U R', then I use two fingers to do "d' ". Then I use my right wrist to do R' and then I use my left index finger to do F'. I saw people like mats valk do the F' with their right thumb, is that better? They do F' and the R2 kinda with their right thumb, I do left index finger for F' and then right wrist for R2, what is better?

Some people prefer F' with their thumb, some prefer it with their left index. It's whatever feels better for you. I actually do it with my Right index as a push.

Hi, i have been learning some new OLL algos. Are the algorithms
that stand on the paper that comes with the gans 356 "good algorithms"?
With the gans 356 comes some sort of pamflet, are those oll algos good? And are " r" moves used alot? I see alot of "r" moves on the pamflet?

It's essentially up to the cuber what a good alg is. For one cuber, an alg might be great while another could not sub-2 the same alg. You could try the ones on the pamphlet but periodically review all the algs you use and see if you find one which is "nicer" or more fingertrickable in your turning style.

What is currently reviewed as the best 3x3 speedcube on the market? I don't necessarily want to know your personal favorite, feel free to include it though. I'm more concerned about what is the general opinion on the best speedcube currently on the market. Currently, I'm using a Dayan Zhanchi, and while speed isn't my main cubing focus, I wouldn't mind upgrading to a newer 3x3. I've had this cube for years and it's beginning to feel a bit stale. I know that cleaning and all that can rejuvenate a cube to like new status, but I feel that I'm a bit behind the times on the speed 3x3 that I'm using. Thanks in advance.

I recently watched a video on youtube and was introduced to the term "sledge hammering." If you don't already know, it is just another way of inserting an f2l slot. It has more moves, isn't good with finger tricks, BUT, it can sometimes avoid a cube rotation. Does anyone here use that? If so, I kind of want to start using it in my solves, just only when necessary.
Thanks!

Is it worth it to learn full ZBLL. I average around 33 sec and i use cfop 2 look oll and just learned 1 look pll. I was thinking of learning full ZBLL when i started averaging sub30 and was wondering of it is worth it and was wondering what you thought if i should or not

The general consensus is that there is no "best" 3x3x3 on the market right now. All the cubes aee good enough that it's basically down to personal choice. The ones people seem to like at the moment are Gans 365(S), Thunderclap or Tanglong (although the GT seems about to supersede it). In all honesty though, you can sub-10 or sub-9 with any fairly new speedcube and people only like the above due to the way they feel. If I remember correctly, the current world record wasn't even ser with one of the above.

Basically anyone will use sledges, sometimes as part of an F2L inserting and it features in quite a few OLLs, PLLs, COLLs etc. It is also used in intuitive partial edge control (such as in intuitive VHLS-which i do when I CFOP sometimes but only cause i know more COLL than OLL or PLL (Roux FTW! :)). It also forms the basis behind the most common speedskewb method and is generally considered one of the algs everyone should know along with the sexy method.

GO FOR IT! :)

But seriously, ZBLL is faster than OLL/PLL (discounting recog). You may want to look at ZBLS or at least intuitive VHLS and get the idea on those first. To see if you like the feel of ZBLL, learn COLL first as it will give you a good option to fall back on while you learn the rest of ZBLL. The only reason why most people don't learn ZBLL (apart from not hearing about it or just sticking to standard techniques) is due to the large alg counts so if you cab get past that, you should be good to go! :)

Sidenote: if you want to look into less conventional LL styles, you could also look into OLLCP and maybe even tripod (though the set up to that isn't too easy from what I've heard and may as well require algs for some of the cases.

To be honest, the effort to learn full ZBLL is enormous. If you're looking for speed then I wouldn't go for that just now, as you are going to spend a lot of your practise time learning algs when you could use it to get faster with what you already know. I'd go first with 1L OLL and other things until you are at least sub-15.

But if what you like is learning algs then go for it but don't expect a huge improvement in your times, if at all.

Is there a method that orients the last layer without moving the edges/corners? So that you can see what pll alg is needed next.

Does anybody have tips on remembering G perms? I am fine with recognizing them but I can not remember then.
