the beginner method is a 2-look method but you do it for each slot so you do it 4 times. the advanced method is inserting a corner+edge pair into an empty slot.
Can you link me to both, please and thank you? Or pm me,

Why does memorization time count in BLD solving?
According to TDM(a trusted source of information), a speedsolver averaging 20 would have his F2L take 2/3 of the solve.
How come my F2L seems to be around 45-50% of my solve? I average around 18 and can easily get 15-16 averages of 12 or 19-20(rage) averages of 12. What's making me so inconsistent? I know full CFOP except around 18 OLL's. Based on this information, what should I do? Drill algs? Learn OLL? Learn X-cross? Learn multi-slot? Just practising solves?
Additional info: I can average around 25-26 OH.
There's no "correct time". Buy one when you want one.Can anybody tell me what is the correct time to buy a timer..... my avg. is around 25-27 secs........
If your F2L is that fast, then your LL is slow. Finish learning OLL and get good algs, especially for PLL. On algdb.net, look through as many algs as you can before you get bored, and try to find one that's good for you. It doesn't have to be near the top; I use some algs that nobody else has said they use on algdb.net. Drill them and try to get them sub-2 at the very least; your fastest ones should be sub-1. Do the same with OLL once you've learned them, though OLL is much less important. Learn a few things like basic edge control and a few easy VHLS algs, since these won't affect your F2L times much at all and can help your LL. Learning some COLLs won't be too bad either, but OLL/PLL is more important.

I don't know about badmephisto's software since I've never seen it, but most good timers (qqTimer, Prisma, csTimer) have LL and PLL scrambles that you can use. On qqTimer, you can find it under Scramble Type -> Specialty scrambles -> 3x3x3 subsets -> last layer (or PLL).Thank you very much, can I (and should I) use Badmephisto's software for oll/pll drilling?
As you mentioned, I noticed my PLLs average something like 3 seconds with the best being around 1.6 average and the worst around 4.4, THAT IS HORRIBLE luckily my recognition and AUF is quite fast, just horrible fingertricking and frequent pops T_T

What is meant by a Oceannic record?
It means the best ranking time/score from all the competitors that participated in that event from countries within Oceania. What is meant by a Oceannic record?
In practice, right now, with the current list of competitors, it only means best of both Australia and New Zealand.
I know that LBL is my primary method for solving any size cube but especially 3x3 cubes.
I also know that CFOP is an overall faster method even though it has more algorithms than LBL.
And I know that most speedcubers that use LBL are fast because of learning CFOP.
However I am not sure if it will speed up my LBL.
My cube is slow because of a clicking mechanism so I have more control over the turns than say on a Zanchi 3x3. This slows my time way down because I can't really do fingertricks on a cube that has a clicking mechanism.
Another thing is that my CFOP is really slow, much slower than my LBL. A few solves and my LBL rapidly improved time-wise just with practice. However with CFOP I haven't noticed that big of a difference between my first solve and my most recent solve(They were both somewhere around 20 minutes which is slow on just about any cube). I know that part of this might be because of the fact that LBL is my primary method. Another might be that the solves were different and thus required different F2L, OLL, and PLL algorithms. Sometimes I have even had to do multiple F2L algorithms to form a single F2L pair(Usually around 2 algorithms at most but sometimes more) and even when a pair is formed by 1 algorithm it doesn't always place the pair in the first 2 layers and leaves it in the top layer so I have to do another algorithm to place the pair. Same thing with usually 2 OLL algorithms instead of 1. The PLL is really the only step that has gotten any faster(This might be because of me doing this with edges and corners in LBL even though I use different algorithms). In fact if anything I would say my F2L is the slowest step and that my OLL(Which I also do in LBL but with different algorithms) has gotten slower.
So if there is this not so steep downward curve(In fact it might even be linear) as far as time in CFOP and it is steep at first but then plateaus in LBL several times and this time being at 5 minutes will my rate of change or you could say derivative of the curve representing my time in CFOP ever increase and if so will it increase downwards(In other words at some point my time getting much faster like it did almost right away in LBL and the rate at which my time is decreasing continuing to increase)? Will this in turn speed up my LBL so that I might end up being sub 60 in LBL relatively soon?
i cri everytymeSo this is the one question thread? What is the best method to solve a rubiks oh?And on how to turn as well? Thanks in advance!
