Not sure if this is the right thread, but I have a question regarding an alg:

The most common alg (afaik) for the OLL with corners oriented and 2 adjacent edges misoriented is r U R’ U’ M U R U’ R’. I’ve always used (y2) M’ U M U2 M’ U M, and it’s always seemed much better to me. Why don’t more people use it?
There's a slight regrip you have to do to get your hand into and out of position to do the M turns

This one is better for me y' M' U' M U2 M' U' M

Could anyone provide me with a decent Na and Nb perm? I can't find any good ones.
I don't really have a good Na but for Nb I like to use r' D F r U' r' F' D' r2 U r' U' r' F r F'
it definitely looks a lot more confusing than it is the last few moves are pretty much just a fat sledge which makes it easier its also way faster (for me at least) than the setup moves into jperm

Together with F2 M2 F2 U F2 M2 F2 you'll always be able to cancel two moves. :)
Face optimal H-PLL : R L U2 R' L' (y) R' L' U2 R L

I do that in the RUL version, last move of first repetition and first move of the second together.

Edit:

This mabye, (x) R2 U2 M R U r' U2 l U' r U2 M' U'

Looks much the same as Lucas alg and I guess he also got it from modifying the face optimal one you get from cube explorer.

Here are more, but you have to sort it :p (I did as Chris said, the stupid search instead of telling how, but Cube Explorer, not ACube =)

is it not better to do the M move hperm the M2 U' M2 U2 M2 U' M2? i might be wrong but I thought with the M and U moves it was the fastest

I feel like 13 years is enough time for him to have found an alg himself

I need to learn the last couple PLL's Gc and Gd. What algs should I learn?
I’d recommend Cubehead’s algs

I remember someone saying that Anthony Brooks’ ZBLL alg pdf has pretty outdated algs, anyone have a better one?

What alg do you use for ortega if there's one bar on the bottom and that's it?

Hold the bar to the left and do R2 U R2 U’ R2 U R2 U’ R2

(wrote it off of memory so it may be wrong, but it just alternates R2 and U/U’)

are there cubehead algs for all the g perms? if so, send me link

My G Perms (always hold headlights on left):

Ga (bar on front): R2 U R' U R' U' R U' R2 D U' R' U R D'

Gb (bar on right back): R' U' R U D' R2 U R' U R U' R U' R2 D

Gc (bar on back): R2 U' R U' R U R' U R2 D' U R U' R' D

Gd (bar on right front): R U R' U' D R2 U' R U' R' U R' U R2 D’

Ooh, interested in ZBLL are we?

I’ve obviously not learnt ZBLL, so it’s probably worth waiting for someone who knows what they’re doing to answer, but I believe SpeedCubeDB has good algs. They have multiple options for most of them and also have a “from competitive solves” feature where you can see what algs were used for that case by top cubers.

@GenTheSnail what algorithms did you learn?

I get my algs from algdb.net, which has multiple options per alg, so often there will be a good option there. For some cases I use a different alg than the ones algdb offers, it's really just a matter of comparing sources and finding something you like.

The only issue with AlgDB is it has the same problems as Anthony Brooks’ algs; it hasn’t been updated in years and as a result, a lot of the voting on the “top” algs are all outdated and don’t actually show the best algs for the time.

AlgDB is always a great source for algs in general though

I've got V perm left to be able to do full one-look PLL. I don't mind having L moves or longer algs, but I don't want to do wide moves, slice moves, D moves or cube rotations. Any nice V perm algs for me?

All of Daniel’s algs have been executed sub1.1 at minimum
