I know this probably isn't a specific algorithm, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread for it and this is a good place to put "steps"

Lets say I am solving 4x4 and I have 4 unsolved edges left. When I slice over two of the edges get paired up. What is the best step here?

The T perm TDM mentions is the standard one and the one I use ; very good fingertricks. If you use it, your F perm composed of the T perm will be shorter due to the cancellation. If you use the standard Jb perm it's also easy to memorize as you just do the first 4 turns at the end: (R U R' F') R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U'.

Y2 PLLs Help?

Guys, I'm learning my PLLs and loving it! One question, I'm a lefty so even though I'm learning the standard PLLs, to avoid a U2 AUF from the OLL I'm learning my PLLs from the opposite side since I'm really good at lefty versions of PLLs. I one lefty PLL from Feliks's 10 tricks in 10 Days(Gd-Perm: R U R' U' D R2 U' R U' R' U R' U R2 D' or L U L' B2 D' R U' R' U R' u R2). I'm asking for a few lefty PLLs for the PLLs I listed.

F-Perm: R' U' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' U R
Ga-Perm: R2 u R' U R' U' R u' R2 F' U F
Gb-Perm: F' U' F R2 u R' U R U' R u' R2
Gc-Perm: R2 u' R U' R U R' u R2 y R U' R'
Gc-Perm: R2 F2 R U2 R U2 R' F R U R' U' R' F R2
Gd-Perm: R U R' U' D R2 U' R U' R' U R' U R2 D'
Gd-Perm: L U L' B2 D' R U' R' U R' u R2
Rb-Perm: R' U2 R U2 R' F R U R' U' R' F' R2' U'
V-Perm: R' U R' d' R' F' R2 U' R' U R' F R F
Y-Perm: F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'

This tool may be useful for you... http://cube.crider.co.uk/algtrans.html
I'd go to http://algdb.net/ and look through the most popular PLLs, copy them into the above tool, and try out the L/R Mirror (or you could just mirror them in your head). You could also manipulate the alg to add a y2 in the beginning, although I think mirrors may be faster in most cases. Note that y2 of Aa, Ja, Ua, etc will solve the same case, but the mirror will solve Ab, Jb, Ub etc.

Try lots of algs for each case until you find the one that's most comfortable for your turning style. If you find an alg comfortable to execute, then it's a good alg for you. If it's awkward, then it's a bad alg you. A good alg for my turning style may be a bad alg for your turning style, so always keep that in mind when asking for critique on algs.

Thanks for your help. I use AlgDb, AlgTrans & Lucas Garron's cube sim a lot. Being a noob I asked the question wrong. I should have just listed the PLLs I needed algs for. I have a full set of PLLs that I'm working on learning and what I was trying to explain was when you go from OLL to PLL sometimes you have to AUF the PLL with a U or a U2. To avoid U2 AUF's I started doing some PLLs from the opposite side so that either way I come out of my OLL I only have to a U. Some PLLs were easy to figure out to do for the opposite side(I'm a Lefty). Since I don't have Cube Explorer I was hoping someone who does could come up with algs for the one's I couldn't and I know that with certain PLLs it's just better to do the U2 AUF. I'm going to try to edit my last post to make it easier to understand. I didn't actually need any y2's PLL's, that was a really bad way to describe what I wanted.

Hi - check my sig line for my PLL alg guide. YMMV - I got a lot of feedback - some people love it, others don't care for it (fair enough). Anyway, it contains algs for all 84 PLL angles (some of which are for completion rather than use/speed).

MGLS Counterpart

Can you cite me a site or just lend me here algorithms where the last F2L corner is permuted and the last F2L edge can be anywhere? It is a counterpart of MGLS. While solving the edge, the OLL would be solved, too. All EOed. I will be very glad if these were optimal. TY!

So basically you want to solve OLL and the last F2L edge? That's going to be a ton of algorithms.

81 I believe, after taking mirrors/inverses into account it's probably not too bad, especially since there will be quite a few nice cases. I've considered making a list for the F2L corner oriented before just fo the hell of it, never did though.
