Whats A good Nb perm? I found tehse two (R' U R U' R' F' U' F R U R' F R' F' R U' R) (R' U L' U2 R U' L R' U L' U2 R U' L), but i was just wondering if there are other good ones as well. And, on the topic of N perms, how is this Na Perm? (R U R' U R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U2 R U' R'). Sorry for all the alg questions, I just really want to finish multi-angle PBL and Full PLL

N(b): z D' R U' R2 D R' U D' R U' R2 D R' U z'

As for the N(a), it's the most popular one according to algdb.net

What are the 5x5 Parity Algorithms?

Give me a position to test. I have a 5x5x5 solver that outputs solutions in SiGN.

You can't get 5x5 OLL or PLL parity.

But you can end up with something like this:

The link doesn't appear to load on mobile, but I can say without having to see it, that you don't get OLL or PLL parity on 5x5.

You are mistaken. And, you will note, I used the terms "but" along with "something like," which, by definition, acknowledges the difference between what you said and my aforementioned example, yet points out something similar as well, and that something was not observed by you, through your own admission.

So you obviously don't "get" the use of certain conjunctions and their use when joined with similes.

Certainly the PLL permutation r2 F2 U2 2R2 U2 F2 r2 occurs on the 5x5x5 and so does z d' M D 3l' u' 2R' u 3l u' 3l2' b' 2R' b r' R' 2-3u y' M' u x2 z'.

TDM is thinking strictly in terms of the 3x3x3 reduction method (and all of its variants). The actual instances of OLL and PLL parity do occur on the 5x5x5 cube in 3x3x3 reduction, but in the edge pairing stage of reduction. He probably classifies both of these cases as "edge parity" rather than calling them "OLL" and "PLL" parity because solvers are encouraged to handle these two "edge parity cases" in the "edge pairing stage" of reduction rather than leaving them for the last layer stage in which the acronyms OLL and PLL are used for the 3x3x3 method CFOP, for example. Once a reduction solver solves the first four layers of the 5x5x5 with reduction, all tredges are complete and thus "there is no such thing as OLL or PLL parity on odd cubes".

This topic has been discussed so many times in the past, and the conclusion has always been that the main problem is the term "OLL Parity". It should instead be called "odd parity" in all solving methods.

I interpreted your 'but' to imply you disagreed with Randomno, not that you were actually agreeing but talking about a slightly different point. I don't think I would have had any trouble understanding what you meant if I had seen the case you were referring to.
[...]

Therefore TDM failed to mention that you don't get OLL parity on the 5x5x5 when using the 3x3x3 reduction method when you choose to simply "take care of it" in the edge paring stage, and PLL parity in the 3x3x3 reduction method in general.
Yes, I should have been more specific, sorry. I assumed the person asking the question would be using standard reduction.

Certainly the PLL permutation ... occurs on the 5x5x5 and so does z d' M D 3l' u' 2R' u 3l u' 3l2' b' 2R' b r' R' 2-3u y' M' u x2 z'.

I like this for solving that case:

https://alg.cubing.net/?puzzle=5x5x5&setup=z_d-_M_D_3l-_u-_2R-_u_3l_u-_3l2-_b-_2R-_b_r-_R-_2%26%2345%3B3u_y-_M-_u_x2_z-&view=playback&alg=2R2_D2_2R-_F2_2R_F2_D2_2R_D2_2L-_F2_2L_F2_D2_2R2

It's the minimum number of moves and needs no cube re-orienting. It's my second favorite way to solve that, next to the Holy Grail method :)
