I have a megaminx completely solved except for two edges which need to be switched. I've solved this with no problem before. Everything I see for edge switch rotates three of them. Everytime I do that I am always left with two edges in the wrong place. I've never taken it apart, and already solved it multiple times.

Theres no such thing as PLL parity on megaminx (to my knowledge), so I have no clue how this could have happened. Are you absolutely sure that it didn't pop or someone messed around with it? Because there's no other way that I could foresee this happening, unless you did something with the center caps or your color scheme.

In short, what you have is impossible.

Ah I figured it out. The red and pink look so similar. I just swapped those... time to get a different color red.

this was more than just a request an alg, i was wondering what most people liked to use and if i was the only one who used that one. if i was just looking into finding the alg, i could have found it easy, i was looking at what most people thought was best

Has anyone generated fingertrick friendly algs to solve OLL 20+PLL? I hate this OLL so much that I may just learn all 21 1LLL cases for this OLL.

EDIT: 1LLL algs for OLL 1 would be nice too.

I don't like the normal r2 B2 parity. I know I don't need L2E algs; however there must be one or two that are commonly seen and really beneficial to know. I do use commutators of L2C I was referring more to L2E. Sorry for not being clear. I appreciate your response though.

But I would still like a fast 5x5x5 parity alg and maybe the most benefical L2E algs for the most common cases.

O-parity and 2-swap are probably the most important ones, but some of the othe parity ones are really nice too

You better be ready to practice those frequently in downtime. The odds (roughly) that you'll see one come up in a solve are (1/216)*(1/21) = 1/4536. Or in other words, on average, you'll solve 4536 cubes before repeating one of those cases.

I'd like to know if anyone has generated algs for any of the following:
skewb last 6 centers
steps 2 and 3 of Guimond in one step
skewb last four corners (one corner and the three surrounding it)
2x2 last four corners with FDL, UBL, BRD, and BDL solved
pyraminx last 6 edges with a 3-cycle on the bottom layer

how's this alg for OLL 29?

r2 D' r U r' D r2 U' r' U' r

i found it on the speedsolving wiki. does anyone use any better ones?

how's this alg for OLL 29?

r2 D' r U r' D r2 U' r' U' r

I prefer the first one in the wiki: M U (R U R' U') (R' F R F') M' ...doing the M and M' moves from below with left middle finger.

I also like a similar one to yours using the left side instead, which gives the U2 version:

l2' D' (l U l') D l2 U' (l' U' l)
