[Help Thread] OLL and PLL Discussion

I can recommend the cubeskills PDFs from feliks zemdegs Homepage. I’ve used them along with the corresponding YouTube video for the best fingertricks on those algs. Same goes for Full OLL.
 
I don’t get what you mean :D. My best guess us that you don’t want Mainstream Algs Is that right?

There may be some other alternate G-Perms I don't know of, but I think I listed most of the algs people use. The problem with something like an RUS U-Perm is that they're really inconsistent, so when you lockup in the solve it makes it really slow

these are better then standard... i .5 them and their isnt a rotation. thats the main reason i want algs like this. they just require harder fingertricks

l' R' D2 R U R' D2 R U' l doesn't have a rotation, even with the regrip they are faster than your algs. those a perms are only good for bld

Wow, ONE example, that's really convincing. Go ahead and learn weird algs, but let me tell you, you're wasting your time for many of them.

thats not one example. thats two lol. also there are much better algs for a good amount of cases.

yes i really like this V perm because its regripless, but i havent messed with it to much so i still use mine
 
I mostly use the standard algs that everyone uses apart from some PLLs. For the U-perms, I know the standard RU version ones and the MU ones also the ones with the solved bar on the left. So with the solved bar in the left Ub alg goes like this [R2 U' :[S ,R2]] and for Ua it is [R2 U' :[R2 ,S]]. I mainly use them in 3BLD solves but started to use them in my regular 3x3 solves and somewhat got used to it. For the V-perm I use the this R' U R' d' R' F' R2 U' R' U R' F R F and for the Ja perm I use this x R2 F R F' R U2 r' U r U2. I then use the same standard algs for every other PLL but know a few different ones for OH like for H-perm I use this- x' R r U2 R' r' u' U' R2 U D and the RUD one for the V-perm.

Can you tell how do you fingertrick the Na one. I did it like this- F' with thumb and the the sexy move as usual then R' F R2 and then from here do I regrip or do the F move by flicking it with my right ring as a D move and then move on to the end and same goes for the final F' move. Which one is faster in your opinion.
