Yes just reduces my 5x5 PB from 3:02.54 to 2:52.22
I didn't realise my PB ao100 wasn't sub-12, but it is now!
ao50: 11.807 → 11.734

Also I didn't post an update on my 7th 10k session (2021-07-28 to 2022-10-22) because all my averages got significantly worse, but it looks like that trend might reverse. (6th 10k update, for reference.)

Overall quite happy with this solve. Despite working on xcross/cross+1 in inspection a decent amount recently, I wasn't able to do that on this scramble. The pause after cross was probably the longest of the whole solve (I suspect the first U' of the first f2l pair was done before I had actually noticed the pair, but I don't remember exactly.) But nothing felt particularly lucky, it was just four average f2l pairs that for the most part I didn't have to pause to find at all. A very finger trick friendly last layer helped as well.
As a side note, I am still currently white cross only. I spent some time this past month practicing yellow cross solves, but I'm still a second or two slower on average, and I'm wondering if it's even worth switching at this point. I'm 22 and a college student - my time is fairly limited, and I probably wouldn't see any time improvement for a year or so, which is pretty demotivating.

It's kind of bittersweet though because looking back, this solve is kind of... pretty bad. Like, why did I start the cross with R D y' when I could just do R u? Why didn't I just do R u R' F2 U' R B'? Saves two moves (though is admittedly less finger trick friendly.) I don't understand how I didn't see the orange/green pair for F2L-3, but I'm not convinced that leads to a better F2L-4 case, last layer notwithstanding. And of course, most tragically, if I'd inserted the final pair with U' R U2 R' instead of U2 R U' R, I would have gotten an AUFless last layer skip and probably gotten a 5, skipping 6 entirely. But I don't think there's ever a world where I see that, because that was in the middle of the algorithm for that corner flip F2L case is burned into my muscle memory and I can do it very fast.
