I didn't practice 3x3 for a long time, and when I started again I was averaging around 20. Now I'm increasingly getting more solves in the 17-18 range.
So close yet so far

Mega Guildford complete! It took me 3 attempts across the past few months, but I finally did it. Sub 1 hour too!
EDIT: For those of you that don't know, the mega guildford is a relay of all WCA puzzles, including blind events and FMC. (I did get a 35 move solution on FMC)

How does timing work for a Mega guildford? (Basically how does MBLD and FMC get incorporated in the time?) because, obviously, if do a lot of cubes for MBLD, it’ll take longer. So are MBLD and FMC not counted in the final time?

This weekend, I was at a competition (Amherst Winter Challenge 2025). During the finals of FMC, I found a solution on attempt 1 that was, to say the least, insane. I found it in about 20 minutes, and I then realized that it was 18 moves, just TWO MOVES off WR, being WR9. And the best part? I DID IT WITH CFOP/BLOCK BUILDING. To say that I now *technically* have a WR in an event (this is CFOP/blocks WR), and in the event that I practice the least, no less, is a huge milestone in my cubing journey. Thank you to everyone, especially my family and friends, who has helped me and cheered me on for these past 10 years. (No, I am not quitting, this is just a formal speech fsr lmao) Attached are the solution sheet and my worksheet.
I just got an 11.?? solve
I then did another solve and realized I forgot to click on "No Penalty" to keep the time (I used DCTimer and when you finish a solve with this timer you have to tap that every time you finish solving for it to be saved)
I got a 3 second pyraminx solve, and I average like 12. the average is still a huge accomplishment because I just got the moyu weilong and I went from averaging 17 to 11-12.
