It depends. If you consider that algorithm to be 15 moves, and if you are not wishing to destroy any part of the 4x4x4 except for the last layer, then no. There are a total of 26 unique 15 move algorithms which solve this case. They can all be found here. In reality, there are only 4 unique paths for 15 movers (and you might go as far to say that there are only two...the algorithm you have seen and Frédérick Badie's).Is there a shorter algorithm for the step at 5:32?
If you only see the algorithm when you click on the links, it might be because you don't have java installed on your computer. Also check to make sure that the java pluggin is not disabled. But yeah, you should see a 3d cube applet animation on the right of your screen and an algorithm box on the left. It's a great tool, so try to get it to work.Does it only show the algorithm or does it depicts how the cube moves in 3D by following the algorithm?
x means you rotate the entire cube away from you once. x' means you rotate the cube toward you once. l stands for left. Also what does x and l mean in the algorithm?
I want to get a decent Z-Perm, with no M, E, or S in it.Thanks
look in the lower right hand side of the animation, click on the gear, look a new speed slider is here. Thanks a lot for all the information. Really appreciate it. I enable java and the animation works. It is a really helpful website. Although I wish it would move a little slower but I'm not complaining since there is a pause button.
Anywhere for all the algorithm and moves, it might seem really confusing to me but I think I just have to take some time to play around with and familiarise with it because for now it's all like ancient to me.

Does anyone have a <R,U> zzf2l alg for putting an edge in FR?
Dw R F' U R' F Dw'4X4 edge parity alg for when same edges are not opposite to each other. So far I only know of y' z' Lw' U2 Lw' U2 F2 Lw' F2 Rw U2 Rw' U2 Lw2 z y but it needs a bad rotation and its lengthy.
