When using the method Dan Brown teaches, what is the most simple alg to permute the cross when opposite edges need swapping?

I think you will need to do the sune twice having the opposite colours that are permuted correctly on L and R.
Then after the first time, the edges will become adjecent and having the 2 edges that are permuted correctly on the right side do the sune again

Not really an alg, but related, which move restrictions would most likely give the fastest algs for CLS, but with edge orientation not mattering? (Edges can get flipped by the alg)

are there any easy F perms? i don't like doing lots of y,x,z, l, B and L moves.... the only one that seems ok so far is R' U2 R' U2 L U' R' U' R' U R U2 L' U2 R U R or R' U' F'+T perm for me.... my left hand is mostly for stabilization....

R' U2 R' d' R' F' R2 U' R' U R' F R U' F

Just like V perm, except with an extra U at the beginning and an extra U' at the end.

I was kinda hoping for an alg shorter than the standard 2 x sune. I'm finding it difficult get all the people I've taught interested in solving quicker.
I think that teaching them short cuts to the method they already know helps. I teach FURU'R'F' and the mirror of Niklas (spelling?) but I want a short cut for that middle step.

If you're looking for something faster, perhaps you shouldn't be trying to optimize algs for the Dan Brown method.

Really helpful, thanks.

My apologies. I admit that I skimmed your post and misinterpreted what you were asking. I hate when people do that so I really am sorry about that.

And if anybody cares R2 u R2 u' R2 F2 u' F2 u F2 and R' F R' u2 R F' R' u2 R2 F' are both move optimal for opp swap.

The one FMC alg I do know, just because it's so easy to remember.
