I am by no means a big cube expert, I solve them slowly and just for fun =P so I'm fully prepared to be corrected on this. However, I think that you can come across two forms of edge-pairing parity on the 5x5, one of which can be solved with the 4x4 OLL parity alg, the other requires a different alg.I'm not positive, but I think if you are careful about what you are doing, you can avoid parity on a 5x5. If you can't, you can use the 4x4 OLL Parity to fix it right up (so you don't have to learn anything extra for the 5x5).
Fair point, I was just trying to make them visually distinct, but you are technically correct...the best kind of correct.Yes, but technically it is this:
1 or 2 2
1 or 1 2
1 or 1 1
The 1 in the middle in the first case is just flipped.

Reduction
yes, it is reductionReduction
K4 is much harder and has a lot algorithms
there are 2 methods . reduction and K4 . K4 is much harder and has a lot algorithms but i'm not sure its the fastest .
I suggest reduction

REALLY?
Based what i've read on this page :http://snk.digibase.ca/k4/index.htm
yes , there were a lot algs .
Am I wrong anyway ?
its yau, and its still reduction its just a variation
