Definitely defective. Hope you get a replacement.
Usually gan is pretty good with sending replacement parts. My friend got the X on pre-order and when it came with a defective core gan responded very quickly and all they needed were pictures and boom, replacement core.
There's only one problem lol, for example I live in a country where cubing isn't recognized and no cube shops are available here, I have to ship it to a third party company then the company will send it to a courier company to me, asking for a replacement means going through 4 stages for me: Asking gan, Courier company, Third party company and Original company unlike people who just go and send it to gan and get it back...

How do you loosten the XS? Thanks

So I have a valk 2 m, and it's general feeling is smooth and heavyish. I thought loosening would make it faster but when I loosened it by about ninety degrees, it's feeling suddenly became rather clacky, crunchy and a very weird loose sort of feeling. So I tightened it back and the feeling still persists, please help.

I've also seen somewhere that something like this can happen if your screwdriver isn't good for tensioning? Idk tho

I think it's the lube.

Okay guys, for some reason there are only 5 valks that I know of (probably a lot more then that but Im only sure of 5 existing) that have this setup. I was talking with my delegate about 2x2 hardware and I said that I like the Valk 2 but its just too slow, what he said next changed my life. "Have you tried the spring swap?" Swap your valk springs for MGC 2x2 springs and it will become much faster. Mine feels like an MGC but a little less hollow and more flexible. I main my spring swapped valk 2 alongside my mgc 2x2

Even MGC springs work wonders.

Tengyun V2 settings?
Just curious about this. I’m using magnet 3, 0.8 for centrepiece travel, and 0.5 for elasticity. 30 quarter screw revolutions. Pretty good, but I overshoot sometimes on OH. The Tengyun is a naturally pretty fast cube though.
