I don't know if this has happened to other people before, but when I do some of th algorithms such as OLL #23's alg, (R2 D) (R' U2) (R D') (R' U2 R') It doesn't work! I always get two diagonal yellow and white corners swapped! What do I Do?

With the headlights on the left, try (R U R' U') (R U' R' U2) (R U' R' U2) [R U R']
This one is fast and easy to rememer cuz it starts with the sexy move and the end is essentially repetitive

whoa, nice alg! I might switch to that. It is regripless? i use two algs for this case. the (R2 D)(R' U2) etc. and, with headlights at the back (R2 D' R U2 R' D R U2 R)

OKay, so here's the deal: My LL sucks. The recog is fine, but I constantly lock up when performing algs and I just can't seem to spam them. Any tips on getting a smoother LL (particularly PLL)?

Drill your algs to get faster at them. That'll also get you familiar with what your current ability is. Sometimes I lock up because I'm attempting to do an alg faster than I'm actually capable of. I get much better times when I aim for smoothness rather than pure speed.

So drill 'em. Over time, your natural ability will improve. But if your brain works faster than your fingers, you're gonna lock up.

How to learn PLL

Ok, so i am new to speed cubing. I can currently solve f2l and OLL(using 2 look) and now I just need to learn PLL. I one day plan to learn full PLL, but for now is there another quick way to learn less algorithms but still be able to complete the last layer?

Thanks!

I recomment learning 4LLL before full OLL and full PLL.

Hey! I am looking to reduce my times. My pb is 19.64 and my average is about 30. I have Moyu Aolong v2. I do f2l + cross in about 16 seconds. The problem is last layer I know 7 PLLs and some OLLs. What can I do to improve my last layer?

Learn 1-look PLL, 2-look OLL and just drill algs. So do one PLL over and over again while you watch tv or something then switch to another. Rinse and repeat and you'll get there.

Getting into Intermediate CFOP - PLL Question

Hey guys this is my first Post here actually! Ive been cubing for almost 2 months. I am around 60 solver, and learning CFOP. I am learning step by step, so i know Cross, F2l and about half OOL, (i know 2-look OOL). anyway i kinda have 2 questions  should i go to 2-look PLL? or 1 look. But my main question is for PLL. I usually solve Edges first With R' F R' B B R F' R' B B R R (random Alg From Beginners Method) Yes i know i shouldnt have learned a bad Alg!!! But its a bit late. Should i Focus on Learning the A/ Ab Perms? Or stick to the one i know and work on other PLL Algs like U, H, Z (Just easy ones im working on) Id like to hear someones input. I know everyone was here at one point where i am, and im just kinda stuck on PLL. I ususally do Corners First, with that first Alg then finish up with U or H Perms. Thanks!

learn A perms and E perm for corners and the U perms H perm and Z perm. in my opinion its better to learn these first and algs that affect corners and edges after. After these algs, move on to the J perms, T perm, then Y perm, and continue from there however you want.

Learn the Y-perm so you don't need to do 2 A-perms when there are no adjacent corners.
Learn U H and Z so you can always finish edges in one step.

If you're done with this, you can do 2-look PLL! YAY!

Then start adding random pll's - start with the easiest. For example: T, Ja, Jb, Ra, Rb

Having Trouble with PLL

i am having loads of trouble with the e-perm algorithim for PLL. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

When should I learn full OLL?

Okay, so I average around 21-23 secs. After I get sub-20 or probably sub-18, I plan on learning full OLL. Is that the correct time to learn full OLL or should I continue with 2LOLL till i get sub 15? And if so, then what all should I improve to get sub 15?
